Background

Shaukat Art Production was a Pakistani film studio founded by film director Syed Shoukat Hussain Rizvi in 1947.

1st Logo (May 23, 1947)

Visuals: On a gray background, there is a figurine of the big, stylized letters "SAP". Above that is a crescent with something looking like a hand grabbing a thin, curvy sword. A ribbon with the text "SHAUKAT ART PRODUCTIONS" swerves below the figurine. A white flare can be seen behind the crescent and the sword.

Technique: A painting filmed by a cameraman.

Audio: A single long note, followed by a loud male announcer speaking deeply in Urdu.

Availability: Only seen on Jugnu.

Legacy: The oldest Pakistani logo on the wiki, given that the country was being formed at that time.

2nd Logo (August 30, 1968)

Visuals: Ripples of dark clouds roll above a lake. As lightning brightens the sky several times, the same figurine from the 1st logo rises up from the lake (the S in "PRODUCTIONS" is missing). A small flare appears on top of the sword after the figurine stops rising.

Technique: Practical effects.

Audio: Sounds of a thunderstorm, followed by a male announcer speaking in Urdu (the announcer is different and speaks the same dialogue from the 1st logo).

Availability: Seen on Aashiq.
