Background

Shin Film Productions (신필름) was a North Korean production company headed by Shin Sang-ok (who had his own production company in South Korea) during his period in North Korea after being abducted by Kim Jong-il. Their films were co-produced by the Korean Film Studio, in which Shin also had an office. Shin Films' most notable production during this period was a kaiju film titled Pulgasari.
