The company was best known for producing its first action-sports title ''Edgar Torronteras' eXtreme Biker'', followed by ''Moto-X 2000'' and its ''Motocross Mania'' series.

Between 2003 and 2004, the company either folded or renamed to Microtime Interactive Ltd. since that company occupied the same location and used Deibus' telephone and fax numbers.

Background

Deibus Studios was an independent video game developer founded in July 2, 1997, with its headquarters being in Camden Town, London, UK and a location in France. They were one of the first companies to include advertising in game content.

The company was best known for producing its first action-sports title Edgar Torronteras' eXtreme Biker, followed by Moto-X 2000 and its Motocross Mania series.

Between 2003 and 2004, the company either folded or renamed to Microtime Interactive Ltd. since that company occupied the same location and used Deibus' telephone and fax numbers.

1st Logo (October 15, 1999-October 31, 2000)

Visuals: On a black background, a blue-yellow rectangle is seen rotating around until it settles its position. Just before it settles, "DEIBUS" (with the top of "D" being drawn by two curves) spins and settles on the rectangle, alongside with "S T U D I O S", flips in. The company name then shines, before the entire logo shines too.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Several whooshes from the rectangle, the text and the light. Two calming synth notes can be heard in the background.

Availability: The logo is seen on Edgar Torronteras' eXtreme Biker and Motocross Mania.

2nd Logo (June 24, 2003)

Visuals: A hallway, with a ladder on the left and the staircase with paint cans on it on the right, is seen with the logo of its UK division on a billboard. The logo consists of a large "D" besides "EIBUS" (which is enclosed on a blue rectangle), spelling as "DEIBUS". Below them, there is "S T U D I O S", written in a scrawly font and enclosed on a powder blue box, with two arrows facing up and left, enclosing these two words. On the bottom-left corner is "UK" in a scrawly font. Suddenly, a character from the game (which varies every time the game is started up) is seen falling down while getting hit by the billboard.

Technique: CGI rendered with in-game engine.

Audio: The sounds of the engine, followed by a crash, and the character grunting.

Availability: The logo is seen on Freestyle Metal X.

3rd Logo (July 23, 2003)

Visuals: Several squares transition in to reveal the logo from before on a white background, with "UK" being replaced with "FRANCE", indicating that it's a French division of the company.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: This logo appeared on ATV Mania.

4th Logo (April 27, 2005)

Visuals: A blurry first-person view of a person is seen walking through various areas in order:

  • A tunnel.
  • A suburban with cars being parked here (including a cabbie).
  • A park.
  • A busy street.
  • What appears to be an interior of a building.
  • A street with several buildings.
  • And finally, an office.

As it finally reaches the computer inside the office, the camera zooms in, causing the UK division of the logo from before (with "UK" being 3D), zooms in through the monitor. The shot then fades out, leaving the logo behind.

Technique: Live-action and 2D computer animation.

Audio: A fast-paced breakbeat tune with synth notes, with the last note being held the longest.

Availability: It's only seen on Motocross Mania 3.
