Background

AVROTROS is the merger of Dutch public broadcasters AVRO and TROS. It was founded in 2014.



1st ID (2014-2016) (opening)


Visuals: On a moving live-action background (depending on the variant), we can see the transparent circle with the letter "a" spinning until it stop to the left. After the circle stops moving, the word "AVROTROS" slides from the left until it stops the right of the circle.

    • There's also another ending variant where the text "DE OMROEP VOOR ONS" (either "DE OMROEP VOOR CULTUUR" or "CULTUUR VERBINDT ONS") zooms in and shows a footage of a AVROTROS program (Wie is de Mol? host Rik van de Westelaken says "Wie is de mol?", a snippet of Joost Klein's famous song "Europapa" from the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, etc.), then the logo normally zooms out.
  • During Christmas, the dark blue background is overlaid by snowflakes.
  • Sometimes, the tagline "de omroep voor ons" may appear at the bottom of the logo.
