Background
Sat.1 is a privately owned German television broadcasting station, operated under the ProSeibenSat.1 Media company. Sat.1 was the first privately owned television broadcasting station in Germany, having started one day before RTL. It started in January 1984 as PKS, initially a joint venture of various publishing houses, and was renamed to Sat.1 in January 1985. The first broadcast could only be seen by roughly 1200 households who owned cable access in the city of Ludwigshafen. Visuals: On a space background, a "P" draws in and a red line appears, but after it draws that, it draws a circle connected to it. Then after they draw that, they go down next to the line of the "P", then they draw at the right bottom. When they do that, there are lines under the circle appearing. "PKS" then zooms in. Then on the top of the red line is a color-changing thing.

It then slowly fades to a ghostly white as "SAT 1" writes in above the logo.
