Background
TEN-10 is the Sydney station of Network 10. It launched in 1965.
1st ID (1973-1977)
Visuals: There are two concentric circles zooming towards the screen. One zooms beyond the screen and the second stops in the middle of the frame. Many intertwining straight lines appear around the circle, eventually replacing the outline of the circle completely. The resulting shape morphs and animates like a spirograph before the line-drawing animation repeats itself and the resulting shape is filled in with several colours (yellow, green, red, blue and pink clockwise), and a circle outlined in white and the word "TEN" in block letters, also in white, appear on the centre.
Variants: The logo was originally in black and white, with the final logo being solid white/grey and "TEN" in black.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: A funky stock fanfare, reminiscent of the Pearl & Dean theme, called "MacArthur Park" by Hugo Montenegro. The full theme can be heard here.
2nd ID (1977-1978)
Visuals: There is a circle in the middle of the screen, from which other circles are emitting in a transmitter-like fashion. Then two lines made of several copies of the word "TEN" appear from both sides of the screen and scroll over each other before they dissipate, leaving one "TEN" in the circle, then many lines in rainbow colours spiral in towards the circle and form the same star shape from the previous logo. The logo zooms in a bit and continues spinning, though this time faster than the previous logo.
Technique: Again, simple 2D animation.
Audio: Same as the previous logo.
3rd ID (1978-1979)
Visuals: There is a firework-like effect in the middle of the screen as we see the word "TEN" scroll outwards in a manner reminiscent of the 2nd CBS/Fox Video logo. We then see a circle zoom in from the middle of the frame as the "star" shape from the previous logos zooms out from beyond the frame. The rainbow colouring fades in as the "TEN" streaks in from the corner of the frame.
Technique: Unknown.
Audio: The chorus from the instrumental version of "Gonna Fly Now" from Rocky.
4th ID (1978-1979)
Visuals: On a sunset background the screen zooms past the numbers "9", "7" and "2" (in reference to the channel numbers of Australia's other TV networks, the Nine Network (9), the Seven Network (7) and ABC (2)) as the sun appears from below the horizon. As the screen zooms further, the sun fades out to reveal the "TEN" symbol, this time sans the "star" shape. The screen then cuts to whatever lineup is being announced. We then see the same symbol zoom out into place as the star shape streaks into place.
Technique: Appears to be a combination of live-action models and Scanimation.
Audio: There is male vocalists sing "come up, come up to Ten!", followed by an announcer delivering the lineup, then the male vocalists repeated from before as the song concludes.
5th ID (1980-1983)
Visuals: Unknown
Technique: Unknown
Audio: A disco tune, apparently inspired by the theme from the first two logos.
6th ID (1989-1991)
