Background

TV Aratu (also known as SBT Bahia), is a television channel with headquarters in Salvador, the capital of the state of Bahia.

1st Logo (1969-1972)

Logo: On a granite-like background, the text "TV ARATU" on the bottom fades in. At the same time, the background zooms out a little. As this happens, an outlined rooster figure facing to the right zooms onto the screen until every respective animation is complete.

FX/SFX: The text fading in, the zooming out of the background, and the zooming in of the rooster.

Music/Sounds: When the rooster zooms in, a long rooster crow is heard.

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note: The rooster crow may creep some viewers at the time, but otherwise, not much to say.

2nd Logo (1972-1979?)

Logo: TBA

FX/SFX: TBA

Music/Sounds: TBA

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note: This is a nice upgrade of its predecessor.

3rd Logo (1980?-1987)

Logo: TBA

FX/SFX: TBA

Music/Sounds: TBA

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note: None.

4th Logo (1987-1990)

Logo: On what seems to be the top of a room, we see lights and a disco ball, and the logo, which has a yellow outline, superimposed on said background. Behind it, a clone of the logo zooms to it, fitting in the original logo.

FX/SFX: Slowed-down live-action footage and overall, simple animation.

Music/Sounds: A chorus shouting "ARATU!".

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note: None.

5th Logo (1990-1995)

Logo: On a blue background with grey stripes, we see the rooster zooming out to its place, while the wordmark slides from the right to the left, bouncing back to the middle. While this happens, the stripes rotate slowly.

FX/SFX: The zooming out of the rooster, the sliding in of the wordmark and the stripes rotating.

Music/Sounds: An electric guitar tune, accompanied with an announcer.

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note: None.

6th Logo (1995)

Logo: We slowly zoom out from 8 yellow panels, containing pictures of certain places around Brazil. Some of them flip. We then zoom out again to reveal the text "CNT". "TV ARATU" zooms out from the screen, standing just below the "CNT" text.

FX/SFX: Basic CGI.

Music/Sounds: What seems like an R&B tune, yet again accompanied with an announcer.

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note: None.

7th Logo (1995-1997)

Logo: TBA

FX/SFX: Again, by CGI.

Music/Sounds: An orchestral theme.

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note: None.

8th Logo (1997-1999)

Logo: On a white background (with nearly transparent copies of TV Aratu's logo), we see the SBT logo coming from the bottom of the screen, stopping at the top-left corner. A red random shape reaches to the top-right corner, eventually shrinking and forming the TV Aratu logo. Then, a small blue "C" goes to the bottom of the screen, forming the text "Canal 4" and two thin lines above and below it, respectively.

FX/SFX: Same as above.

Music/Sounds: A dramatic, brass theme, once again, accompanied with an announcer.

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note: None.
