France 4 is a public TV channel owned by France Télévisions originally dedicated to music-related events and youth-oriented programming. It was launched in March 31, 2005 just in time for the launch of digital terrestrial television in France, replacing Festival, which was oriented towards fiction. Originally slated to be shut down along with France Ô in 2020, France 4's commitment to broadcasting at-home lessons and children's programming kept the channel going. Nowadays, the channel is split into two main blocks: Okoo for children's programming and Culturebox for culture-related programming (concerts, theater performances, etc), with the francetv sport brand taking over during sport-related events.
1st (known) Logo (April 7, 2008-2010)
Visuals: Same as the France 2 logo from the time, except that the quadrilaterals, the logo (with the "2" replaced with a "4") and the background turn purple to indicate the channel prior to the programme.
