Background

As part of a post-restructuring plan for Hasbro to focus on core toy brands and digital games, the company launched its Hasbro Retro Arcade initiative in 2023 with G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra, developed by Maple Leaf Games and published by indie.io and released in 2024 with the initiative's second game, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind, developed and published by Digital Eclipse Software scheduled to be released that same year.[1]

Logo (September 26, 2024-)


Visuals: On a blue background there a number of blue rays that interconnect to create a grid as the 2008 Hasbro logo zooms out on before the grid zooms out to a triangle. After that, the word "RETRO" in a metallic jumbo-like font then is placed into the triangle as the word "ARCADE" in a 8-bit-like font appears as it forms via blue squares that zoom out.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Arcade-like blaster and deep note sound effects, followed by some mini-blaster sounds a three-note startup-like jingle

Availability: First seen on G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra.
