*Closedown: TV Asahi's satellite dish gets deployed, which then fades to a aerial footage of Ark Hills. It then cuts to the streets of Tokyo at night, the hallways of Ark Hills and TV Asahi's headquarters, a sign that says "ON THE AIR" and "STAND-BY" visible ("ON THE AIR" is lit up in red) and a studio light being turned off. It then fades to a crowd formed in the shape of TV Asahi "10" logo waving green glow sticks in a dimly lit room. The camera moves around them, then to the top. The light then slowly fades, and only the glow sticks are visible. The text "JOEX-TV 10チャンネル テレビ朝日" ("JOEX-TV Channel 10 TV Asahi") appear in the center. |

*Startup: On a video of a flowing creak, the white text "'''JOEX-TV''' 10チャンネル '''テレビ朝日'''" ("JOEX-TV Channel 10 TV Asahi" in Japanese) appears. The video changes to a different view of the creak with leaves in front of it, then to another view of the leaves, now with trees in the background. It then cuts to Yoko Mari, an actress who was in a drama series on TV Asahi at the time, wearing a red blazer on a red shirt, a red beret and a green skirt. She walks to the right of the screen, while the camera spins with her, keeping her at the center. After a while, she turns to the camera. The video has the text "万里 洋子" ("Yoko Mari") at the bottom-right corner. The video then fades to some yellow flowers, then to a black and white butterfly on purple flowers. It then fades to Yoko Mari looking at something off-screen and smiling, then to two puppies under a tree, looking at some rocks. Yoko Mari then holds one of the puppies and playing with it. That is followed by some leaves, then a bird in water, which then abruptly flies away. It then cuts to a close-up of Yoko Mari turning around to the camera. Finally, the video fades to white and the TV Asahi logo fades in. |

Background
JOEX-DTV is the main callsign of the Japanese TV station TV Asahi. TV Asahi is the flagship station of All-Nippon News Network, and was founded on November 1, 1957 in Tokyo as Nippon Educational Television. The network changed its name to the current one on April 1, 1977.

Immediately afterward, a TV camera with the word NET comes out with a noh fanfare, and the front lens suddenly close up. Finally, "video frequency..." appears.
Technique: Live-action.
Audio: Unknown.
Availability: As of now, there is no trace of the ident other than a mention of it on 5chan.

A better image of this logo is needed due to poor picture quality or other issues. You can help AVID by uploading it. |
Visuals:
- Startup: There are no videos or photos of the ident, but it features an animation of geometric patterns, presumably similar to the next logo. Somewhere in the music, the text "JOEX-TV 10チャンネル NETテレビ" appears. It later cuts into a slide with the station information, most likely identical to the one in the closedown ident.
- Closedown: On a blue background, yellow lines go from the center to the edge of the screen while forming a circle. Then, circles come out of the center like radio waves. A pink swirl starts going inwards, while three yellow rectangles fly randomly and eight circles wiggle around. After that, a big circle with a white-blue-black gradient forms in the center while pink balls fly around it. and blue balls fly into it. The screen fade into two squares with a lot of layers, one big blue one, and a smaller pink one that is rotating clockwise which then fades, while the blue one zooms out into a background of blue circles, when it disappears and is replaced by the pink "10" logo zooming in, then the background fades and the "10" logo turns yellow. After the "10" logo finished zooming in, the "NET" logo appears at the bottom right. After that, it cuts into a white outlined square with the text "JOEX-TV 10 チャンネル" ("JOEX-TV Channel 10") on the top, "映像周波数 205.25MHz 出力 50.00KW 音声周波数 209.75MHz 出力 12.50KW" (Video frequency 205.25MHz Output 50.00KW Audio frequency 209.75MHz Output 12.50KW") in the middle, and "NET" at the bottom right. It then cuts into another slide with an outlined rectangle with "UHF中継局" ("UHF relay stations") on the top, the list of relay stations in the middle, and "NET" remaining at the bottom right.
Variants: An earlier variant had the "UHF中継局" slide removed.
Technique: Traditional cel animation. This logo is animated by Toei Animation.
Audio:
- Startup: A fast-paced march played with a string band. An announcer said "JOEX-TV こちらはNETテレビです。映像周波数…" ("JOEX-TV, this is NET Television. Video frequency…"
- Closedown: Most of the audio was removed by the original uploader of this logo, with the only part intact being the start and end of the music and the announcer. The announcer says "JOEX-TV, JOEX-TV, NETテレビジョンです。映像周波数 205.25メガヘルツ、出力 50キロワット。音声周波数 209.75メガヘルツ、出力 12.5キロワット。第10チャンネルです。UHFの中継局は、ご覧のとおりです。("JOEX-TV, JOEX-TV, NET Television. Video frequency 205.25 megahertz, output 50 kilowatts. Audio frequency 209.75 megahertz, output 12.5 kilowatts. Channel 10. The UHF relay stations are as shown.") at the end.
Availability: As of now, only 10 seconds of the audio exist of the startup, and only the first 10 seconds and the end of the closedown audio has been found. It may have been seen on some home recordings.
4th ID (Startup and Closedown; April 1, 1977-1987)
Visuals:
- Startup: Over live-action footage of mountains at dawn, there is the stacked text "JOEX-TV 10チャンネル テレビ朝日" ("JOEX-TV Channel 10 TV Asahi" in Japanese) in a white font. The text than fades away, and the sky grows redder and brighter. Eventually, the sun slowly begins to rise from behind the mountains. When it's high enough, the 1977-1996 TV Asahi logo (a 3D angular "10") in white appears on its face, before turning red and green. The background then fades to a white background, as the logo zooms in to reach the center of the screen. Finally, the text "テレビ朝日" ("TV Asahi") in red appears below the logo.
- Closedown: Over a starfield, there is a multicolored flash appearing on the top-right corner of the screen. It then fades out as a white, almost-circular flash fades in and flies toward the left side, before moving down and right. The starfield fades to a black background as many red and white lines rotate around to form a complex shape. The starfield then briefly reappears, only to cut to several blue and green lines twirling around and forming a different complex pattern, after which a square outline formed by white dots zooms out. Several multicolored spinning shapes then start flying around the screen, and the square zooms in. After the shapes spin some more, the square zooms out with a trail, the screen cuts back to the starfield, and the stars fade out as the TV Asahi logo from the time fades in. Finally, the background fades to white and the logo fades out, with the text "JOEX-TV 10チャンネル テレビ朝日" in a red font fading in.
Technique: Live-action and camera-controlled animation.
Audio:
- Startup: A brass fanfare which segues into a vibraphone-led orchestral piece when the sun starts to rise. An announcer says "JOEX-TV、10チャンネル、テレビ朝日です。" ("This is JOEX-TV, Channel 10, TV Asahi.") when the text appears.
- Closedown: A jazzy sax-led version of the startup's tune, with an announcer saying "JOEX-TV、10チャンネル、テレビ朝日です。" (" This is JOEX-TV, channel 10, TV Asahi.") at the end.
Audio Variant:
- Startup: On the first year of the ID's use, the orchestral piece was accompanied by a chorus singing the following lyrics: "人間だから、悩みもあるけど、心の歌は消してはいけない。朝に、は朝の光がにあいのほほえみうかべて うたつてみよう。新顔ですね、なかよくしましょう、新顔ですね、うれしいですね。わが家の友だち10チャンネル、テレビ朝日。" ("I'm a human being, so I have some worries, but I shouldn't erase the song of my heart. In the morning, let's sing in the morning light with a smile on our face. It's a new face, let's get along well, it's a new face, I'm happy. My friend Channel 10, TV Asahi.")
- Closedown: Same case as the startup, except that it uses a lighter version of the vibraphone-led orchestral piece.
Legacy: This ID is well-liked amongst Japanese viewers, mainly due to its music.
5th ID (Startup and Closedown; 1987-1989, 1990-September 1991)
Visuals:
- Startup: On a background of a sunrise, the text "JOEX-TV 10チャンネル テレビ朝日" ("JOEX-TV Channel 10 TV Asahi") appear in the center. It then fades into a TV Asahi satellite dish being deployed, and then to the top of TV Asahi's headquarters with TV Asahi's helicopter preparing to take off and the entrance of the aforementioned headquarters. It then cuts to a crowd of people, where the camera moves around the crowd, then switching to the top of them, with the crowd formed in the text "おはよう" (Good morning). A border with a blue gradient forms around the video, when the crowd forms TV Asahi's "10" logo and wave the hands to the camera. It then fades to the aforementioned helicopter taking off. It then fades back to the crowd in the shape of the "10" logo, where it moves to the top and the text "テレビ朝日" (TV Asahi") appears.
- Closedown: TV Asahi's satellite dish gets deployed, which then fades to a aerial footage of Ark Hills.
Variant: From 1987-1989:
