Japan Movie Picture Co., Ltd. (株式会社ジャパンムービーピクチュア) or JMP was a Japanese film production company. Founded in May 1972, the company launched with Nobu Miike as chairman, Toshio Ogura as president, Toshio Mochizuki as executive director, and Yasushi Morita as managing director.[1] Only one film was produced, Karafuto 1945 Natsu Hyōsetsu no Mon (樺太1945年夏 氷雪の門), which due to internal conflicts, including pressure from the Soviet Union, the scale of the theatrical run was significantly reduced, prompting JMP to go bankrupt.[2]
