'''Visuals:''' Depends on the variant used:
*1986-1988: On a very dark blue background, a golden diamond shape, made of 4 bulging rectangles, quickly passes the screen. 2 more appear in the corners and slide away from each other, as the diamond emerges again and zooms towards the top of the screen. "RECORD" then zooms out as an outline. A short version has just the diamonds in the corner, while a variant of this has the diamonds disappearing and a sole diamond zooming out in place.
*1988-1990: On a grey background, pieces of the diamond quickly appear and it zooms out, with "RECORD" sliding in. Its the same font from before, but filled with the same gradient as the diamond.
*1989-1990: On a black background with a black, red, and white striped floor, the text "RECORD" zooms out at an tilted angle. It then disappears under the floor as the diamond fades and rises from the floor. It zooms towards the bottom of the screen as it fades to the diamond above the floor. It zooms out as the "RECORD" text rises from the bottom as well. A short version also exists of this variant.

Background

Record (previously TV Record, Rede Record and RecordTV) is a Brazilian free-to-air television network, founded in 1953 by Paulo Machado de Carvalho, also founder of Rádio Record. Currently it is owned by Brazilian businessman Edir Macedo, who is also founder and bishop of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God. Since 2007, it is the second-most popular television network in Brazil (after Rede Globo), after having been in last place of the television networks since the 1980s. With 63 continuous years of transmission, it is also the oldest television network in activity in the country.

1st Logo (September 27, 1953-1965)

Visuals: Over a white background, a train passes by. A tiger is seen driving it (that tiger was the "mascot" of the network until early 70's). He pull the cord twice, which makes a whistle train sound, and the whistle sound like saying "Canal 7" (Channel 7), then the camera zooms to the sky, which shows a giant compass. Two giant letters, "T" and "V", appear and surround the compass. The name "RECORD" also appears at the bottom.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Ukulele-like sounds in the background, the whistle sound, and a woman's voice saying: "Canal 7! Se você quer ter sempre o melhor, veja Record!" (Channel 7! If you want to have always the best, watch Record!).

2nd Logo (1977-1982)

Visuals: Various different variants were used:
  • 1977-1979 Main: In space, a blue transmission tower is seen on the left as the outline of "RECORD" in a custom font, flies up. A red beam then scans the outline, filling it in with gold as sparkles then fly onto it.
  • 1977-1979 Alternate: On a blue gradient background, the same outline rises up and fills in with gold, along with many sparkles appearing on it. It seems to give off a shadow on the background.
  • 1979-1982 Main: On a shot of a sunset, many strangely shaped ray sway around, only for the sunset to disappear and the rays to form a butterfly. The butterfly flies over to the bottom of the screen, resting as it fades to a clip of a real butterfly on a flower. The whole clip then converts to a white tangle before forming a seagull as a night sky fades in. The seagull then flies into the moon and the phrases "Todo dia.", "Toda hora.", and "Tudo bem." fly in one by one. A bright light flies in and forms bronze "7" in a circle, sparkling as the "RECORD" text flips in. "sao paulo" slides in from below.
  • 1979-1982
    • Alternate 1: On a black background, the "RECORD" text, in white or blue, zooms out, as parts of the same text, but in yellow or peach, appear in place. 1979-1982
    • Alternate 2: On a black background, a yellow/peach ring appears and starts to wave, revealing "RECORD" in the waves. It then settles, leaving the text clear of deformities.

Technique: Mostly Scanimation.

Audio: Depends on the variant:

  • 1977-1979:
    • Main: The 1976 Washington Week in Review (now called Washington Week) theme (a deep, ominous, and arpeggiated (possibly analog and/or Moog) synth tune), also used by TVS (now called SBT) around that time.
    • Alternate: A reverbing and ominous bass tune. This would be later used in the next logo's short version.
  • 1979-1982:
    • Main: A relaxing tune.
    • Alternate 1: A drumroll, followed by a 3-note guitar tune.
    • Alternate 2: A chorus singing "RECORD!" multiple times over a percussion theme.

3rd ID (1982-1986)

Visuals: On a blue background, many multi-colored arches, within each color of the rainbow and angular ends, wipe in, as well as a golden outline that shines. Another bar of rainbow colors "shoots" out from below and brings the "RECORD" name, but in a very different and blocky font. It appears in gold before being outlined in gold. It also shines.

Variants: A short version exists with the text zooming in. A special variant used during soccer games features a soccer ball being surrounded by arches, which then fill with the colors.

Technique: Scanimate effects.

Audio: A trumpet fanfare is played when the rainbow is formed. This turns into a violin them when the "RECORD" name appears. The same bass theme from before is heard on the soccer variant and the short version.

4th ID (1986-1990)

Visuals: Depends on the variant used:

  • 1986-1988: On a very dark blue background, a golden diamond shape, made of 4 bulging rectangles, quickly passes the screen.
  • 1988-1990: On a grey background, pieces of the diamond quickly appear and it zooms out, with "RECORD" sliding in. Its the same font from before, but filled with the same gradient as the diamond.
  • 1989-1990: On a black background with a black, red, and white striped floor, the text "RECORD" zooms out at an tilted angle. It then disappears under the floor as the diamond fades and rises from the floor. It zooms towards the bottom of the screen as it fades to the diamond above the floor. It zooms out as the "RECORD" text rises from the bottom as well. A short version also exists of this variant.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Depends on the variant:

  • The 1986-1988 variant has an ambient bell tune.
  • The 1988-1990 variant and the short version of the 1989-1990 variant have a 4-note synth tune.
  • The long 1989-1990 variant had a remixed and extended version of the aforementioned music.

5th ID (July 16, 1990-1992)

Visuals: Numerous flat discs is seen floating by. Then isn a blue ball zooming into the camera. Three flat discs (with the colors blue, red and green) stocked, appears while forming the symbol. The "REDE RECORD" name appear at the bottom.

Technique: CGI.
