Background

SEK is an abbreviation for "Spieleentwicklungskombinat". Founded in 1998 by Carolin Batke, Thomas Langhanki, Ingo Neumann and Carsten Orthbrandt, it was a German developer, with the 30 percent holding by Sunflowers. After the release of ParaWorld, the financial loss hit the company and made it dissolve in 2007.

1st Logo (September 27, 2001)

Visuals: Among working gears, the logo plate (with a worker holding his arm up with a hammer with a yellow aura behind him on a red background) with "SEK" carved below descends on two steel chains. It appears turned but then corrects to the normal position and shines.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Gear working and chain lowering sounds followed by firecracker noises.

Availability: Seen on Diggles: The Myth of Fenris.

2nd Logo (September 15, 2006)

Visuals: In a dark environment, the worker hits the iron plate twice with his hammer, then he rises his arm with the hammer and the picture gets outlined with a red background. The worker's silhouette is surrounded by a yellow aura. The text "SEK" is seen below in the frame.

Variant: Early localizations of ParaWorld has the logo still with ragged outline.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Two sounds of hitting metal with a short four-staged synth.

Availability: Seen on ParaWorld.
