Background

Sankyo Eiga (三協映画株式会社) was a Japanese film production company founded in 1975 by Ikki Kajiwara, Yutaka Fujioka (of Tokyo Movie) and Yasuhiko Kawano.[1] The name "Sankyo" means "three people working together". Their output consisted of films based on literature, martial arts, and anime films.


1st Logo (December 18, 1976-July 18, 1981)

Visuals: On a blue background, a tilted "S" shape with thick white outlines is seen. On one end of the S is "SANKYO" and on the other end is "EIGA", both in white lettering. Below is "三協映画株式会社作品" in white.

Availability: Seen on Chijō Saikyō no Karate PART 2 and Ashita no Joe 2.

2nd Logo (June 18, 1983)

Visuals: On a blue background, the emblem from before is seen in a small size with "三協映画株式会社 作品" to the right of it.
