Background

Soma Games is an American video game developer founded in 2005 by Chris Skaggs, Rande Bruhn, and John Bergquist in Newberg, Oregon.

1st Logo (December 10, 2011-January 6, 2016)

Visuals: The text "SOMA GAMES", is shown in a stacked format. the "O" is replaced with an outlined drawing of the Vitruvian Man inside a tan ring with a dark khaki center circle with five overlapping brown outlined tan rings inside. There are two boxes in the logo: one is tan and covers "SOMA" while the other is black and contains "GAMES" and "TERRIBILITER MAGNIFICASTI ME MIRABILIA" below it. Both boxes have a white outline.

Variants:

  • On G Prime: Into The Rain, the text "ENVISIONED BY" is seen above the logo.
  • On Wind Up Robots, the logo is placed on a wide yellow piece of paper on the wall behind a desk containing a capsule-like gadget on the left and a wooden box and a desk lamp on the right.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None or the opening theme of the game.

Availability: The logo first appeared on Windup Robots and later appeared on G Prime: Into The Rain.

2nd Logo (September 14, 2018-)

Visuals: The text "SOMA GAMES", with the former word also having an inner thin black outline and a brown border, is shown in a stacked format. the "O" is replaced with an outlined drawing of the Vitruvian Man against a dark khaki center circle with five overlapping brown outlined tan rings inside and a white border in the outer portion of the circle, with a thin and thick black outline in its inner and outer portions, reading "TERRIBILITER MAGNIFICASTI ME MIRABILIA" with each word separated through the Vitruvian Man's hands.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: This logo is seen on The Lost Legends of Redwall series.
