Background

Squid Shock Studios is a Thai video game developer based in Chiang Mai and founded in 2020.

Logo (July 18, 2024)

Visuals: On a white paper texture background, a red cartoon squid with a large, blinking lightning bolt symbol on its forehead is shown about to release a blast away. When that happens, the cephalopod soars on the right side of the screen and places itself on top of a generally rigid emblem, with a thick blank, thin red outline, and solid red fill containing "SQUID SHOCK STUDIOS", in a stacked format, bolded rigid font for the former two, and the "O" in "SHOCK"'s counter replaced with a lightning bolt. Said element appears through a shard-textured wiping effect at the beginning of the squid's swift flying sequence, which also flashes white a few times. Before standing on the logo, the rapid swimmer re-gains the lightning bolt on its forehead through a wiping effect, which flashes the screen and fills the non-filled portions of the logo elements in solid white.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A watery whoosh is heard before the visuals begin and starts at the tail end of the Unity logo. Then, an electrical charging sound plays, followed by a blast, a pop, and electric buzzing.
