Background

Studio 33 is a British video game developer founded by John White in August 1996, with its headquarters based in Liverpool, UK. The company primarily specializing in the production of real-life racing simulators for the PlayStation consoles. On October 16, 2003, Electronic Arts acquired the studio and renamed it to Electronic Arts North West Studio. The company later closed on October 17, 2006, exactly three years after the company being renamed.

1st Logo (March 24, 1998)

Visuals: The logo, consists of the stacked words "STUDIO 33" is shown in-credit alongside the Psygnosis and Bizarre Creations logos.

Variant: On the loading screen, the in-credit logo has "A" and "PRODUCTION" placed between the logo.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: The logo is only seen on the copyright screen and the loading screen of Newman-Haas Racing, in which the opening cinematic only shows an in-credit notice of the company.

2nd Logo (October 20, 1999)

Visuals: Superimposed over the opening cinematic, several white rounded squares with a black outline fade in one-by-one, before the others fade out to shown only the 3x3 square made out of nine squares, with the square on the center-right in its sky blue color. "S33" then fades in inside of it, alongside the company name, "studio 33", below.

Variant: On the copyright screen that precedes the opening cinematic, the still logo is next to the Psygnosis and the FIA Formula 1 World Championship logos.

Technique: CGI. A still, digital graphic for the variant.

Audio: The game's opening theme. None for the variant.

Availability: The logo is only seen on Formula One 99.
