Background

Télévision de Mauritanie (English: Television of Mauritania) is an Islamic-Mauritania television channel located at Tevragh Zeina, Nouakchott. Television broadcasts in Mauritania started in 1980 with a project supported by Iraqi funding before officially inaugurated in September 1982 as part of the Office of Radio Television of Mauritania. Télévision de Mauritania became autonomous from Radio Mauritanie on July 10, 1984, starting then to broadcast independently from its own studios.

In 1990, TVM became a public establishment of an industrial and commercial nature (EPIC) in 1990, later changing to a public establishment of an administrative nature (EPA) in 1991. It was also an associate member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) from 2003 to 2013. Currently, the station is a member of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ABSU).

Visuals: The only known capture consists of a gold star with a tilted gold crescent over a blue background. Two green trees are also seen over the crescent.

Trivia: The gold and the crescent are based off the national flag of Mauritania.

Visuals: Over a white background, the logo from before is seen, with it being enclosed on a blue circle and the trees now being more detailed. Between it, there are the company name written in Arabic and French:

Visuals: Over a gradient background, the logo from before, with the trees being stylized like the first logo and the star being different, is seen with the company name in silver.

4th ID (2006-2010)

Visuals: The camera rotates over a fort in a light blue environment before it goes into an overhead view to reveal the logo, consists of a blue circle with a gold outline, with a gold unspecified Arabic word inside it, laying on top. The logo then flies to face the screen and shine as the background blurs. It then zooms out to the left as several white rectangle slides in to the right before forming as a long rectangle. The company name

wipes in to the left beside the logo.

Audio: A traditional African theme.

5th ID (2010-2014)

Visuals: The scene slowly irises in to show a close-up of the first logo, with the circle being colored green with a gold outline, and everything inside it being colored gold, moving up and shines on the right over some trees. The scene irises out, before transitions into a grassland, and a plant with another close-up of the logo moving up and shines on the left. The scene then irises out and transitions into a white gradient background, as the circle transitions in and shines, two trees pop up, the crescent wipes in and the star rotates and zooms in, all forming the logo together. At the end, it shines, as the Arabic company name "التلفزة الموريتانية" zooms out quickly below it.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A calming piano and synth tune with a quick whoosh at the end.
