Background
Tele Elefante was an Italian television network founded in January 1979 by Leo and Guelfo Marcucci, as a nationwide repeater of local channels across Italy. In 1987, its frequencies were sold off to VideoMusic, TeleMarket, and Rete Mia, and it was fully integrated into the latter on March 21, 1988, though the brand would remain on the frequencies of TeleMarket until 2005.
1st ID (1981-1983)
Visuals: On a black background, a white cartoon elephant from the front view zooms in with a blue video feed back swirl occurring. The elephant soon zooms out.
Technique: Zooming and video feedback effects.
Audio: "Equinoxe, Pt. 2" by Jean-Michel Jarre.
2nd ID (1983)
Visuals: On a starfield, the elephant from before is shown having a white word "ELEFANTE" in sans-serif typeface under it. The screen soon slides to the upper-right corner.
