Background

Teleac (Televisie Academie) was a Dutch educational broadcaster from 1963 to 1996, when it merged with NOT to form Teleac/NOT.

1st ID (1975-1977)

2nd ID (1978)

• Opening: On a black background, there is a white square outline within a 8-pointed bar and circle outline, with the aforementioned filled with a dark-light gold radial gradient color. "teleac" is shown below.
• Closing: At the same background & logo, the word "einde" is applied underneath.

3rd ID (1978-1979)

Visuals:

• Opening: On a white background, there is a black square outline. The bars abruptly appear, then the circle (now blue), and then "teleac" underneath.
• Closing: On the same background with the complete logo, the elements disappear, and "einde" takes place over the word.

Variant: A static version has the white background, with the complete logo. The closing has the logo slightly small to make room for the word "einde" below.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A deep triumphant synth theme with percussions, ending with a short Moog synth flourish. It may be in a different rendition.

4th ID (1979-1980)

Visuals: On a black background, a group of four white dots in a diagonal angle sweep from the right, in which they return repeatedly below overtime. They form a supposedly dark teal background of dots with the square outline and 8-pointed bars in a polka-dot style. As the two aforementioned shapes are complete, a circle outline draws in, and below is "teleac" in separated segments revealed by the group of dots. Whilst it completes, the entire logo fades into original shape, along the background (which now appears to have a black vignette over it).

Technique: Traditional animation.

Audio: A dreamy synth theme with various xylophone notes on an ascending-descending phase. A rising note when the circle is drawn, then a light 8-note dreamy tune.

5th ID (1980-1981)

Visuals:

• Opening: On a cornflower blue background, the elements of the logo symbol in azure abruptly appear and rotate into view, with the words "teleac" shrunken from the distance. The elements assemble, while the aforementioned slowly zooms in and stands below.
• Closing: On the same background with the complete logo, the elements of the logo disappear in order, alongside the word.

Technique: Computer animation and rostrum camera.

Audio: From a soft to bombastic triumphant theme, with woman choruses chanting "Teleac" in three times. The closing has no choruses.

6th ID (1981-1985)

Visuals:

• Opening: On a black background, a rapidly orbiting blue shape abruptly appears. A size-changing blue-red 4-pointed star casting out black-white stripes abruptly appears behind the orbiting shape. Then, four screens of people studying against a black backdrop flips in. The screens multiply overtime, before the white square and the bars flips in, the circle zooms in and "teleac" flips in, as everything fades to a black background with the complete logo.
• Closing: It starts at the sequence of the screens of people studying as the screens multiply overtime. At the last segment of the screens, the people stand up and leave the screen. Then, it flips to the broadcaster's logo in a black background, and flips out shortly after.

Technique: Possible scanimation and computer animation with live-action footage.

Audio: A moody triumphant fanfare, composed by Tonny Eyk.

7th ID (1985-1988)

Visuals: On a black background is the faint words "teleac" next to a square icon multiplied by 12 columns and 6 rows. From the left are six rows of multicolored rectangles - blue, red, yellow, green, cyan and magenta - with the letters of "teleac" next to them respectively and on the matching rows. The rectangles then pan towards the middle, making the letters disappear. They're revealed to be various shapes, those being two rectangles - one red and one cyan -, three triangles - one yellow, one green and one magenta - and blue circle borders. The shapes pan towards the screen with the light, at the forwards position where it turns the colors into white sans the circle. They pan to the back side, where the shapes turn flat. The letters from the 12th to 4th columns and 6th row lighten up, which stands still to the middle for it to read "teleac" separately.

Variants: There are two various different animations of the ident, as described below:

• One has it start with the sequence of the animation. The shapes from the back side line up altogether from the left to the middle, as they turn flat, as the words from the 4th to 9th columns and 6th row lighten up.
• One has it start with the completed animation. The shapes then change back to the current size as they pan around the middle, then slide towards the left. The lightened up letters accompany the rows from the shapes and they stand still. There's also another ident that has the same animation, but on a contrary direction.

Audio: A synth/ticking score, with a synth hit.

8th ID (1992-1996)

Visuals: On a light blue-denim blue radial gradient background is the broadcaster's logo. Then, four segments of the sketched drawing of the Vitruvian Man in a pink tint line up together. Then, four elements slide from both sides, from the left side are three: a grayscale closeup of a person's lip where the camera pans around it, a floppy disk and a white rectangle that draws tan streaks twice, with the other revealing the Chinese word for "show", and from the right side is a camera panning against a shiny trumpet on a vertical angle in a black backdrop. Then, a teal tinted footage of a white keyboard that the camera scrolls from the right rises down, behind the right side and in front of the three elements. More elements slide in, in order: an orange tinted footage of pages of the book turning in, rising to the top behind the three elements, a vermillion tinted footage of a lighthouse, sliding from the left, a light blue tinted footage of the globe slowly orbiting, sliding to the right, an aquamarine tinted footage of images of sliding Dutch guilders rising from the top, another aquamarine tinted footage of a ruler where the camera slowly pans around it, sliding to the left, a vermillion tinted footage of a cue ball against a stack of 15 shiny balls, where another cue ball slams into the third of the fifteen balls in which they separate, quickly rising downwards, and two split footages - one tinted orange, sliding to the left and one tinted sky blue, sliding from the right - of a presumed mannequin, where the camera pans towards it. Once all of the elements settle in, they all change to a solid color, and the symbol of the broadcaster's logo fades in at the upper right corner.
