Background

WVIA is a PBS affiliate based in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The station was formed in September of 1966.

1st (known) ID (1980s)


Visuals: On a blue background, the WVIA Logo flips in from the left of the screen. A large number 44 then flips in.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An upbeat synth tune.

2nd ID (1980s-1991)

Visuals: On a sunset background, 5 glass panes are seen. One of them has the WVIA logo with a 3D 44 on top of it. "SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE/HAZELTON" is under it.

Technique: A still CGI render.
