'''Visuals:''' Over a black background, several yellow circles and shapes move throughout the screen, alongside "{{color|#FFD900|entertainment}}". The shapes and text then expand and zoom in, eventually revealing a yellow ABC logo. The text "'''Entertainment'''" appears below, along with a copyright stamp.
This has been an

'''Variants:'''
Variant: Some shows would just simply say "An ABC Production", "an ABC TELEVISION NETWORK production", "(This has been) An ABC TELEVISION NETWORK PRESENTATION", [Name of series] IS AN ABC NETWORK TELEVISION (NETWORK) PRESENTATION", (This has been) a [Name of production company] in association with the American Broadcasting Company, or [Name of series] is a [name of production company] in association with the American Broadcasting Company.
* An early version exists where the logo is still on a yellow background and the text reads "{{Font|Courier|'''American Broadcasting Companies, Inc.'''}}" This was only used on two special episodes of ''AFV'' from Season 11: "Matrimony Mania" and "Nincompoop-a-rama".
* A shorter version exists where it starts with the shapes zooming in.
* On <u>HD prints of ''AFV'' episodes from Seasons 11 to 20</u>, which are edited, stretched and cropped to widescreen, the logo is superimposed on a widescreen background using the same background as the show itself. For Season 11's ''Matrimony Mania'' and ''Nincompoop-a-rama'' specials, a light blue background is used. For the rest of Seasons 11 to 14, the dark blue/orange background is used. For Seasons 15 to 20, the red/orange background is used.

'''Technique:''' 2D computer animation, done by Troika Design Group.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwPhJtgpAE8</ref>
FX/SFX: None.

'''Audio:''' A cycle of two record scratches, followed by a hip-hop version of the 4-note ABC jingle. The variant uses an extended variant of the music; the closing notes are a little slower than normal. Composed and arranged by The Mad Bus.
Music/Sounds/Voice-over: The end title theme from any show or silent with or without a male announcer saying either the following:

'''Audio Trivia:''' The theme appears to sample "Crooozin" from the ''L.A. Riot 3'' sample CD.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDOf34ZYvwg</ref>
"This has been an ABC Television Network (film) presentation".
[Name of series] is a [name of production company] in association with the American Broadcasting Company.

'''Audio Variants:'''
* On the early variant, a jazz version of the ABC jingle plays.
* On a November 30, 2001 ABC airing of ''AFV'', a generic theme plays.

'''Availability:''' Appears on Seasons 11 and 12 of ''America's Funniest Home Videos''. The later version of this logo was used to plaster the early variant on pre-2014 syndication prints of Season 11's "Matrimony Mania" and "Nincompoop-a-rama specials". It is left intact on the ''America's Funniest Home Videos: Volume One with Tom Bergeron'' DVD release. The early variant is also seen on the ''Love & Marriage'' and ''Nincompoops & Boneheads'' DVD releases, as those DVDs contain the "Matrimony Mania" and "Nincompoop-a-rama" specials, respectively.
Availability: Rare. This was seen on a lot of original prints of shows such as The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, and Top Cat, among other shows. Not even DVD releases have this. This logo appeared at the end of two episodes of The Donna Reed Show on Me-TV sometime in July 2014. Also seen at the end of a few prints of the recent reruns of The Untouchables on H&I (Heroes and Icons).

This might be an editing mistake on the network's part.

When the logo fills about half of the screen, the background fades to black, with a continuous glow around the logo. Just before this happens, the text "ABC ENTERTAINMENT" fades on the bottom third of the screen, along with the copyright stamp straight under it.

Background

ABC Entertainment is a network production company owned by the American Broadcasting Company formed in 1999.

1st Logo (February 3, 2001-May 17, 2002)

Visuals: Over a black background, several yellow circles and shapes move throughout the screen, alongside "entertainment". The shapes and text then expand and zoom in, eventually revealing a yellow ABC logo. The text "Entertainment" appears below, along with a copyright stamp.

Variants:

  • An early version exists where the logo is still on a yellow background and the text reads "American Broadcasting Companies, Inc." This was only used on two special episodes of AFV from Season 11: "Matrimony Mania" and "Nincompoop-a-rama".
  • A shorter version exists where it starts with the shapes zooming in.
  • On HD prints of AFV episodes from Seasons 11 to 20, which are edited, stretched and cropped to widescreen, the logo is superimposed on a widescreen background using the same background as the show itself. For Season 11's Matrimony Mania and Nincompoop-a-rama specials, a light blue background is used. For the rest of Seasons 11 to 14, the dark blue/orange background is used. For Seasons 15 to 20, the red/orange background is used.

Technique: 2D computer animation, done by Troika Design Group.[1]

Audio: A cycle of two record scratches, followed by a hip-hop version of the 4-note ABC jingle. The variant uses an extended variant of the music; the closing notes are a little slower than normal. Composed and arranged by The Mad Bus.

Audio Trivia: The theme appears to sample "Crooozin" from the L.A. Riot 3 sample CD.[2]

Audio Variants:

  • On the early variant, a jazz version of the ABC jingle plays.
  • On a November 30, 2001 ABC airing of AFV, a generic theme plays.

Availability: Appears on Seasons 11 and 12 of America's Funniest Home Videos. The later version of this logo was used to plaster the early variant on pre-2014 syndication prints of Season 11's "Matrimony Mania" and "Nincompoop-a-rama specials". It is left intact on the America's Funniest Home Videos: Volume One with Tom Bergeron DVD release. The early variant is also seen on the Love & Marriage and Nincompoops & Boneheads DVD releases, as those DVDs contain the "Matrimony Mania" and "Nincompoop-a-rama" specials, respectively.

2nd Logo (September 27, 2002-January 10, 2003)

Visuals: A shortened version of the 2002 ABC bumper, only it cuts to when the text "abc" appears on a yellow background, and "Entertainment" and a copyright stamp appears below the ABC logo as the background turns green.

Technique: CGI by Troika Design Group.

Audio:

  • A four-note dramatic orchestral version of the ABC jingle. Composed by Wow and Flutter Music.[3]
  • On syndicated reruns, both the first note and half of the second note are cut off.

Availability: Appears on early Season 13 episodes (up to episode 11) of America's Funniest Home Videos. This logo was also used to plaster the next logo in pre-2014 syndication prints of this season.

3rd Logo (January 24, 2003-January 11, 2004)

Visuals: There is the black ABC circle with the letters "abc" in its usual font forming on the circle. The circle backs away to the center of a blue background, as we see the word "Entertainment" and the ABC, Inc. copyright stamp below. Behind the logo, there is the letters "abc" forming a ripple from small to large letters.

Technique: CGI by Troika.

Audio: A piano rendition of the ABC theme combined with drumbeats and bass guitar, followed by a reversed version of the last note. Syndicated reruns use only the first half of the theme. Composed by Wow and Flutter Music; this was also used as bumper music.

Availability: Appears on later Season 13 episodes (since episode 12) and early Season 14 episodes (up to episode 9) of AFV. This was also used to plaster the ABC Productions logo on the Bob Saget episodes of the show on ABC Family. It even appears on disc 4 of the America's Funniest Home Videos: Volume One DVD release, containing the 300th episode. This logo was also used to plaster the next logo on pre-2014 syndication prints of Season 14 of AFV.

In this version there is an extreme close-up of the ABC logo, then the logo quickly spins to the middle of the screen to face the viewer. There is a light red ribbon in this version. Furthermore, in Season 21 (2010), the logo is in widescreen.

Technique: CGI by Troika.

Variant: An odd variant of this logo can be spotted on America's Funniest Home Videos season 23 episodes on the Up network. The logo starts at normal speed and then suddenly gets slower/lowered in pitch, with the Vin Di Bona Productions logo that follows also being slowed down.
