Background

ABC Media Productions (previously known as Buena Vista Productions) was the in-house television development, production and programming unit within ABC Daytime. It has no relation to another company of the same name, which functioned as an international production subsidiary of Walt Disney Television International.

Buena Vista Productions

(2007-2009)

Nicknames: "The Comets", "The Buena Vista Comets", "Still Comets"

Logo: It's basically a still version of the 2005 Buena Vista Television logo, but with a light blue background and the name is replaced by "Buena Vista Productions". Sometimes, a copyright notice is shown below.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Extremely rare. It's only known to appear on Stringers LA.

ABC Media Productions

(2009-2013)

Logo: On a glossy background, we see the ABC logo rotating in. The words "media productions" wipe in from the right. The water from the then-current ABC IDs is shown along with a red streak flying from the right. The end result looks like the 2007 ABC Studios logo. Sometimes, a copyright notice is shown below.

FX/SFX: The rotating, the wiping, the streaks.

Music/Sounds: None or the closing theme of the show.

Availability: Appears from shows from this time period, such as later episodes of Stringers LA, Cha$e, and Making Over America with Trinny & Susannah.
