Background

AFN Kwajalein was an affiliate of the American Forces Network on Kwajalein Island in the Marshall Islands. It became automated in 2008.

Logo (2000-2008?)

Visuals: The camera zooms out and rotates from a bright light to reveal "AFN", with the tilted white star (where the zooming out sequence takes place from) being enclosed in the "A", on an orange background with several stars moving around. As it stops zooming out and rotates into position, a gold bar, with "K W A J A L E I N" inside of it, wipes in by two sides of lights and rotates together with "AFN", as the background zooms out to reveal a blue-tinted globe on the bottom side of it. "A SERVICE OF AFRTS" then flashes in below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A majestic orchestral fanfare with sparkling sounds at the end.
