Visuals: On a dark blue background, two blue circles appear and overlap each other with an outlined circle, also in blue, zooming towards the center, form an eye. The three circles zoom in as the CBS Eyemark logo, also in blue, zooms out. The eye moves to the left as the company name (in TT Norms Pro, with "CBS" in bold and "MEDIA VENTURES" in white) wipes to the right, and the parent company byline fades in below.
Bylines:
January 11, 2021-November 10, 2022: "A VIACOMCBS COMPANY"
March 11, 2022-: "A PARAMOUNT COMPANY" in the Paramount Peak Sans typeface.
Variants:
An alternative version which is the same as the normal logo exists, but with the tagline "PRODUCTION + LICENSING + AD SALES & PARTNERSHIPS" (like CBS' "LIVE + ON DEMAND + STREAMING" tagline in the promos prior to late 2022) appearing word-by-word in sync with the last three notes of the jingle, similar to CBS' 2020 ID. This is basically a reference to the company's evolution to becoming a company that licenses, produces and/or distributes first-run programs, as well as handling national barter advertising sales for third-party companies.
Like the CBS Television Distribution logo, some first-run shows such as Inside Edition and Entertainment Tonight have the final scene/credits crossfade to the logo.
A short version also exists, which starts when the Eyemark zooms out.
A 24fps version exists, which is seen on Hot Bench, as well as Antfood's CBS jingle montage and case study videos on Vimeo. However, the latter video only has the Eyemark sliding to the left.
On some season 3 episodes of The Drew Barrymore Show, the logo is next to the Flower Films logo.
Technique: 2D computer animation, designed by Gretel.
Audio: A more string-based arrangement of the 2020 CBS jingle by Antfood.
Audio Variants:
Other shows such as Hot Bench and Rachael Ray on some occasions have the end credits theme play over the logo instead.
On some season 3 episodes of The Drew Barrymore Show, the logo is silent.
The final three notes can be heard on Antfood's 2022 mnemonic reel here.
On Antfood's case study video, the four notes play over the music.
Availability:
CBS introduced the logo on the Variety website the day the rebrand was announced and also began replacing the 2007 CBS Television Distribution logo on first-run programs it distributes, starting with the January 11, 2021 episodes of Inside Edition and Entertainment Tonight, respectively.
Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune also began using the logo starting with their respective January 18, 2021 episodes.
This logo also does not appear on Pictionary, as that just used a copyright notice instead.
