Background

CBC Television Co., Ltd. (CBC TV, callsign JOGX-DTV) is a Japanese television station serving as an affiliate of the Japan News Network for the Tokai subregion, based in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. The station started broadcasts on December 1, 1956 as the first television station in said subregion. In 2013 due to a major restructuring, the radio division was spun-off into a wholly-owned subsidiary known as CBC Radio. As a result, the television operations moved to CBC TV and changed its callsign from JOAR-DTV to JOGX-DTV.
