Background

Comedy Club Production is a Russian production company that was founded on December 26th, 2006 by Artur Janibekyan, Garik Martirosyan and Semyon Slepakov. The company mostly produces TV shows for the TNT TV channel. It was named after the Comedy Club TV show, the company's main project which debuted in 2005.

1st Logo (January 24, 2008)

Visuals: On the black background with moving transparent red vertical stripes, the white letters of "COMEDY" (in ITC Avant Garde Gothic) fly to the center syllable-by-syllable in the following order: The letter "C" flies in from the left and "O", styled like a ribbon microphone by having a downward arc below with small circles at its top ends and an attached vertical line, flies in from the bottom, the letters "M" and "E" fly in from the top and the right respectively, and finally, "D" and "Y" flying in from the bottom and the right, also respectively; then the rounded rectangle around it draws in, while the word "CLUB" slides out from the right to the top of the "Y" of "COMEDY", then red circles shoot out from the "O", causing to fill the rectangle with red and the background to gain slowly-moving pulsating red/white squares on the top half and completely dark red on the bottom half. The glossy shine on the Comedy Club logo wipes in from the left, then the logo slowly zooms in.

Shorter Description: A black screen colorizes with red. Then, the word COMEDY (O looks like microphone) appears. It is then bordered by a rectangle, with the word CLUB in it. The background then fills with some red squares and the marquee stylizes and slowly zooms in.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A down-tempo funky theme accompanied by several whooshes.

Availability: It only appeared on Самый лучший фильм.

2nd Logo (2008-2014)

Visuals: A sudden flash of the red light appears in the center of the black background; but when it dies down a little, it is now a red light streak leaving gold-colored trails in the helix-like fashion, flying towards the viewer, barely missing and the screen pans to the left, then cuts to the dark red stage with the crowd cheering and the darkened diamond-cut sign, which is "COMEDY" from the Comedy Club logo, supported by a truss with stage lights, the screen pans up slowly and fade to the bird's eye view of the stage, as the screen pans across the stage as the streak flies into the microphone "O" and the screen cuts the close-up of the microphone "O", which is about to get hit by a light streak, which sends out a multitude of different circle designs and causing the microphone "O" to glow intensively in the yellow-ish/white light, then the screen cuts the view of the sign from below as the former pans across it, while the letters, except the "O", light up like a neon sign one-by-one (a la Picturehouse Films) and fireworks being launched, then the screen cuts to the pan out of the last three letters being lit up. When the letters are almost lit up, the screen transitions to the logo, consisting of the same microphone "O" with the stacked words "COMEDY CLUB PRODUCTION" (like before, in ITC Avant Garde Gothic), all made out of diamond, zooming out against the crystallic red background from the hole of the microphone "O", which causes a yellow flash of light which will erase the scene inside it, as the rounded rectangle being drawn around the logo in the counter-clockwise way, and when the drawing is done, green/yellow/red sparkles quickly wipe over the logo from the top-left to the bottom-right, making the logo white and flat-shaded, then the background fades to black as the rounded rectangle gains a red color.

Variant: A short variant exists where it begins with a close-up shot of the "O" microphone glowing by a light streak, followed by the panning bottom view of the letters glowing, transitioning to the final shot of the logo, with the word "ПРЕДСТАВЛЯЕТ" (in whtie Myriad Pro font) appearing below via a sliding sparkle from the left, with space increasing between each letter.

Technique: A mix of CGI animation and live-action.

Audio:

• Long version: A fireworks-like explosion followed by a whoosh when the streak appears, the crowd cheering, another whoosh and another fireworks-like explosion when the streak hits the center of the microphone O, several whooshes and clicks when the letters light up, a deep whoosh when the screen zooms out from the microphone "O" and a reversed zooming ding when the rectangle is being drawn.
• Short version: The shortened version of the 2005 Comedy Club theme song, consisting of a jazzy two-note electric guitar sounder, followed by a bombastic three-note big band jingle. Sometimes, it's accompanied by a crowd cheering and applauding. Starting in 2013, a rock rendition of the theme is used.

Availability: Seen on shows like seasons 6-7 of Comedy Club, Идеальный мужчина, Незлобин и Гудков and early seasons of Comedy Баттл. The long version was seen on Самый лучший фильм 2 and Наша Russia: Яйца судьбы.

3rd Logo (January 20, 2011-May 17, 2014)

Visuals: Over a black background with a red flash is the logo from before, albeit with a glossy shine (a la the first logo), rapidly spinning and zooming in, with a separated outline, the text and a ribbon microphone. They form together when they stop to the front angle as the logo faintly shines, and a faint red glow appears behind the said logo. After a while, the rectangle then wipes out to the right as the company name with a ribbon microphone fade out.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio:

• Самый лучший фильм 3-ДЭ: A robotic/computerized noise followed by an audience cheering.
• Попугай Club: The shortened Comedy Club theme from the previous logo.

Availability: Only seen on Самый лучший фильм 3-ДЭ and Попугай Club.

4th Logo (October 1, 2012-September 20, 2018)

Visuals: On a black background, the red light with the white text of the company name, set in a thinner version of ITC Avant Garde Gothic, appear out-of-focus, but then they deblur. The word "представляет", in white, fades in below.

Variant: A zoomed-out variant appears on shows like ТНТ. MIX, later seasons of Comedy Баттл and Мартиросян Official.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: The 7Art logo's audio, with sparkling sounds being added as well as a chime being placed over the last whoosh. Sometimes, the latter two sounds are omitted.

Availablity: The logo first appeared on the 7th season of Интерны. It later appeared on shows such as Сашатаня (lastly seen on its fourth season), Comedy Club and Универ among others.

5th Logo (January 25, 2018-)

Visuals: In the darkness, multiple spotlights of various types (e.g. single-tube and multi-tube) are revealed by turning on, all placed around a cylindrical environment and glowing light blue, with minority of them being red, as the camera starts to slowly pan backwards around them. As more and more spotlights glow brighter and rotate about faster and faster, the camera eventually stops at a front angle to reveal that they're all contained within a sci-fi ring-shaped engine, as well as a starfield in a black background. The camera then zooms back through a ring while turning upwards 180°, then rapidly zooms out far away from the latter as it glows completely. White lines then appear around the ring, forming a ribbon microphone as the latter morphs into a white letter "O". When one of the lines starts to form a rectangle, it slides to the left along with the ribbon microphone as half of the stars in the background fly to the center to form the company name modified from the second and third logos, with rounded corners and the font of "PRODUCTION" being thinner. When the company's logo is finally formed as the rest of the stars faded out, leaving a black background, the former gains a glossy shine (different from before) and fills in with a fading-in red color.

Variants: There are three short versions of this logo:

• On one of the later seasons of Comedy Баттл, the logo simply starts with the camera rapidly zooming out from the ring and has the Zомбоящик music variant.
• The most common version starts with a front angle of the ring, followed by a faster-paced version of the forming logo animation.
• The third version is basically a slightly extended variation of the second short one with two shots of spotlights turning on, the latter of which is rotated upside down.

Technique: CGI animation by Shandesign.

Audio: It starts off with a synth drone, which is backed up by the sounds of spotlights turning on, followed by a slow, yet majestic, five-note orchestral stinger. As an ascending electronic windy noise, sounding like an airplane flying, starts to be heard and getting louder and louder, the last note of the stinger holds out, while the said noise turns into a descending series of multiple stop-starts when the camera zooms out far away from the ring, followed by a microphone feedback and a cymbal sounder. When the music ended, a chime with a whoosh from the previous logo are heard.

Audio Variants:

• On Zомбоящик, there are multiple camera shutters accompanying spotlights turning on, seguing into a fast-paced dubstep tune, which stops as the logo forms and ends with an electronic warbling sound and an ascending whoosh. An abriged version of this theme is used for the third short variant.
• On the very first episode of Песни, there are various forming robotic sounds, including clicks and thuds, accompanying actions over an electronic noise that ascends in pitch, which stops as the ring is fully revealed, followed by an electronic warbling noise that ascends in the end, and more robotic noises with whistling sounds.
• The second short variant uses a shortened version of the music theme: The last note of an orchestral stinger, accompanied by windy noises, multiple stop-starts and ending with a microphone feedback.
• On some series like Две девицы на мели, Девушки с Макаровым and Первокурсницы, the opening theme of the episode plays over the logo.

Availability:

• The logo first appeared on the trailer of Zомбоящик, albeit as a still version, and made its official debut on the said film.
• The main music variant only can be found on Sergey Shanovich's (the founder of Shandesign) Vimeo upload.
• The second short variant appears on the company's recent shows such as Открытый микрофон from season 3 onwards, the later episodes of Песни, Танцы, the film Эдуард Суровый. Слёзы Брайтона, Закрытый мир, Двое на миллион, Женский стендап, Шоу большой страны on Rossiya-1 and Музыкальная интуиция among others.
• The third short variant is mostly used on their serials like the later seasons of Сашатаня.
