Background

LRT Televizija, otherwise known simply as LRT TV (formerly LTV 1) is the flagship television channel of Lithuania, owned and operated by Lithuanian Nation Radio and Television (LRT). It was launched as Lietuvos Televizija (LTV) on 30 April, 1957 and today has two sister channels (LRT Plius and LRT Lituanica).

1st ID (1980s-1991)

Visuals: The sequence begins with a bronze polygonal map of Lithuania placed on a wall. The camera slowly zooms towards the map, which reveals a series of gridded lines pulsing out from the bottom-right corner. A stylized "tv" "flips" in from the center to the right half of the screen. Inside the "v" are three horizontal bars in the colors of Lithuania's national flag (yellow, green and red).

Technique: Motion controlled animation mixed with overlaid 2D computer .

Audio: A somber brass fanfare.

2nd ID (1990-mid 1990s)

• 

Visuals: A black screen is briefly displayed at the start. The screen splits in half and slides horizontally in opposite directions, revealing a skyline that includes the network's TV tower. The company name does not appear.

Technique: A mix of a still photograph and 2D computer effects.

Audio: A proud, patriotic synth fanfare.

3rd ID (Mid-1990s-1997)

The closedown ident

Visuals: Each ident consists of the outlines of three blocky conjoined letters "LTV" appearing before a blue, red and green curved stripe each paint themselves in behind.

Variants:

• Blue background: Four blue comet-like rectangles fly onscreen, the first two individually from the top right and left corners respectively and the other two simultaneously from opposite sides (the top one from the left and the bottom one from the right). The two comets each have a blue ball of light glowing on the tip. As they approach further into the logo, they move closer to the center before the two light balls merge. The LTV logo appears over the glowing light as the comets love offscreen before the three colored stripes paint themselves in.
• Teal background: Several light balls dance across the background as the logo moves from the bottom left corner to the center. As the logo moves, it turns to the left and zooms out. The three stripes paint themselves in just before the logo stops.
• There exist two alternate idents that show the logo rising from the bottom whilst unswirling itself before stopping in front of an imposed sequence of video clips. Below the logo is text that fades in, reading either "LIETUVOS TELEVIZIJA" or its old URL, "http://www.lrtv.lt".
  • One of said idents includes a globe fading in on the right side of the logo, with a light briefly wiping over it.

• A closedown ident also exists. This showed a black-gray gradient bacgkround, in which three copies of the the three letters would individually flip from the left side of the screen, starting with the L. Each letter showcased a unique shot of Lithuania's landscape, with each copy serving as a different layer. Once all the letters were in place, the Lithuanian flag with a fading trail would be seen flying from the right, accompanied with "LIETUVOS" and "TELEVIZIJA" appearing from opposite sides and crossing over each other before stopping.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A deep, dreamy synth jingle.

Audio variants:

• The warped logo idents both play an ascending high pitched, spacey five-note synth jingle accompanied with a low synth hum.
• The closedown played a brass fanfare with an accompanying drumroll, which was repeated thrice before concluding with an uplifting brass outro.

4th ID (1997-2001)

Visuals: The ident opens with timelapse footage of a yellow flower blooming accompanied with a dandelion spinning in a clockwise direction on the right half of the screen. Two circles expand from the blooming flower's head as two rectangles draw themselves in at the top. "LIETUVOS RADIJAS IR TELEVIZIJA" slides in from the left in the bottom rectangle, followed with a larger copy in the top sliding from the right. 21 vertically stacked black dots appear individually on the right from top to bottom as the faint outlines of the network's logo unfolds itself into view. Then, the logo (an amber triangle with a protruding blue rhombus on its right paired with "LRT" on the right side) zooms out and unblurs itself, covering much of the outline in the background. A diagonal array of the logo's shape fades in and out from the top twice as a lens flare light flashes in the bottom corner. Two circles draw themselves in from the approximate center and expand as a gray bar wipes in from the left near the bottom. Inside the bar is text that reads "LIETUVOS RADIJAS IR TELEVIZIJA".

Variants:

• An earlier variant of the ident shows the front exterior of a house with the channel's logo seen on a TV. A thin ring expands from the center before the camera zooms closer to a lit window behind a closed curtain. As this happens, a thin line accompanied with two copies of "LIETUVOS TELEVIZIJA" on opposite sides slowly fade in. A white light flashes, transforming the background into a yellow wallpaper with an array of the logo's outline. Another ring expands from the center and the logo draws itself over one of the outlines, starting from the L-shaped triangle. A blackish-brown band with "L I E T U V O S T E L E V I Z I J A" inside fades in at the bottom.
• There is a Christmas variant, which first shows a closeup shot of a lit candle in the circle, accompanied with four lit candlesticks on the left side of the screen and a blue-red-black aurora background. The sequence then switches to seven lit candles, each on their own dish and arranged to loosely resemble the logo, followed with a candleflame fading in on the right. The animation sequence remains indifferent from the generic ident.

Technique: A mix of live action and 2D computer animation.

Audio: A slow piano tune that ends with a five-note harp piece.

5th ID (2001-2002)

Visuals: A woman holding a sunflower stands in front of two escalators and a rotating clock, looking down to her right. She makes eye contact with the camera before the sequence plays time-lapsed footage of her going down one of the escalators, with the spinning clock now near the bottom-left corner. The footage slows down just before the woman fades away and a horizontally slanted rectangle shape made from a white L and a blue half-T shape fades in in front of the clock. On the right side of the logo is stackde text reading "Lietuvos Televizija".

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: An uplifting synth jingle accompanied with a crescendoing whoosh.

6th ID (2002-2007)

Visuals: A series of idents, most of which show a person making a frame hand gesture. Two transparent rectangles slide from opposite sides to the center to form a square. The hands move away from the screen as the background changes and an image corresponding the setting fades into the square. As this is happening, the channel's logo draws itself over the square and zooms out onto the left half of the screen. Sliding right of the logo is blue text reading

A series of transparent squares and rectangles can also be seen shifting across the screen throughout each ident.

Variants: There are four different idents known to exist:

• Ident 1: In a kitchen, a mother pours a glass of hot milk for her son. Once the glass is full, the sequence fades to a snowy field, with a foggy forest appearing in the square. This is the only ident in the set that omits the frame gesture.
• Ident 2: The sequence starts with a time-lapse shot of vehicles on a highway. It then cuts to a father and son looking at the camera from a ledge. The father carefully lifts the son's arms up, which are positioned to make the frame gesture. Then, as the boy's hands move offscreen, the sequence cuts to a landscape view of a forested valley with a lake in the distance.
• Ident 3: An elderly man is sitting at an outdoor cafe, looking at a couple kissing. Once the man makes the frame hand gesture, the couple look and smile at the camera, just as a red umbrella opens in front of them. The man moves his hands offscreen, causing the background to abruptly change into an extreme closeup shot of blades of grass and the umbrella to turn into a blooming red flower, the latter of which is placed inside the square.
• Ident 4: A boy tilts his head sideways and kneels over to look at a paper boat floating on a small stream. After making a frame with his fingers, the sequence cuts to an ocean background with a sailboat inside the square

Technique: A mix of live action and 2D computer animation.

Audio: A seven-note electronic piano jingle, ending with six fading beeps.

7th ID (2007-2012)

Visuals: Set in a sky background with moving clouds is the computer generated network's logo in white, accompanied with one or two people.

Variants: Three different idents are known to exist:

• A boy in a white shirt and light gray jeans jumps from one side of the logo and does a side flip, tilting the logo over. He attempts another flip just as the ident finishes.
• A person points over at the horizon and runs over to an old man, who is sitting on the inner edge of the logo, fishing. The two people huddle together and look over the horizon. A body of water is also revealed beneath the logo.
• A couple are dancing on a solid gray platform. Behind them is the logo, which casts a shadow over them.

Technique: CGI mixed with chroma-keyed live action.

Audio: A short piano jingle consisting of four notes at the start and end and two quieter notes in the middle.

8th ID (2012-2016)

Visuals: Shows a collection of different idents, all of which end with a slightly slanted white cube turning towards the left horizontally. Inside the cube is a blue substance, which is exposed by the cutouts of two leaf-shaped squares on the top and right sides and "LRT TELEVIZIJA" on the front.

Variants:

• There are six different idents:
  • Ident 1: Blue leaf-shaped square confetti explodes from the top of the cube and falls across the set.
  • Ident 2: Thirds of the cube turn (a la the Rubiks cube) to form the logo.
  • Ident 3: The back of a camera is shown. The camera folds itself shut to form the cube as the lens is seen filling with blue.
  • Ident 4: Blue-and-white dormant butterflies stand on the cube, completely covering it before they all abruptly fly away.
  • Ident 5: The cube is displayed as an audio mixer with self-moving controls before it quickly turns into the logo via a mosaic transition.
  • Ident 6: A blue square is shown. The square falls, turning into a droplet shape and hits a dense liquid surface inside the cube, mixing in with it. Two more droplets fall and mix with the liquid.
• Some airings would position the cube to the left and accompany it with one of the three messages on the right:
  • "lik su LRT TELEVIZIJA"
  • "tai, kas svarbiausia"
  • "anonsai"

Audio: A stringed hum, followed with a light five-note jingle that repats four times and unknown.

9th ID (2016-2022)

Visuals: A collection of several different idents which all end with the more enhanced network's logo spinning horizontally in an anti-clockwise direction. A lens flare can also be seen in the top left or right corners.

Variants: There exists five different idents:

• Ident 1: Two robotic arms carve a piece of carbon into a diamond using a laser before encasing it inside the logo.
• Ident 2: A tree is displayed in four different seasons. The tree remains inside the logo throughout the duration.
• Ident 3: Numerous rotating gold and silver cogs place themselves inside the logo through its top, back and left sides.
• Ident 4: Several computer parts connect with each other to form a cube shape. A microchip with the LRT logo printed in white fits itself inside among the components.
• Ident 5: A gold honey-like substance forms itself into a cube, with the camera taking three extreme closeup shots of it. The liquid turns blue once the logo is formed.

Audio: A five-note jingle that repeats twice, accompanied with a single ending note.

10th ID (2022-)

Visuals: A blue line forms itself through a different process, depending on the ident. Once formed, LRT and TV slide out from the left and right sides respectively.

Variants: For each ident, the line is formed as follows:

• A translucent dark blue cube is formed. The cube extends lengthwise to form a minute and hour hand whilst several glassy blue circles rise from the bottom. The arms begin to tick before the sequence cuts to a shot of various ticking clocks. The circles wipe themselves away in a circular motion, then, once the centermost line positions itself upright, all the surrounding lines are knocked away.
• A 9x9 array of blue and white cubes spins clockwise and zooms out, leaving behind a trail from two of its sides. The trailed cubes float away and split before they all turn blue and merge to form the line.
• Several cubes in varying shades of blue appear sequentially to form a complex three-dimensional network of lines and bends. A cube falls and lands on the top-left side of the shape, causing twelve random cubes to fly out from the center as the remaining ones shrink away. The twelve cubes then rapidly zoom to the center to form the line.
• A whitish-blue cube rotates diagonally until one of its faces is in full view. Then, a series of square sheets is lifted from the bottom-left corner and flown to the top-right of the screen until a tunnel made from blue square frames is revealed. The camera zooms in through the tunnel before frames begin to rotate clockwise. The furthermost frame zooms out, then, after the camera crosses the tunnel, the remaining frame seals its center shut as it turns to reveal a vertical line.

Audio: It varies depending on the ident, but they all conclude with a nine-note piano jingle.
