Background

Río Uruguay Televisión is a local TV channel with headquarters in Fray Bentos, Uruguay. It started broadcasts in May 26, 1966, becoming one of the first local TV channels in Uruguay. Outside of Fray Bentos, coverage of the channel has reached out to other interior cities of Uruguay - including Mercedes, Dolores, and Young - and also internationally within the Argentinian province of Entre Rios.

Visuals: On a white background, there is a drawing of a fish in front of multiple rectangles, with bubbles coming out from its mouth. Inside the fish there's the text "CANAL XII" in black, below a squiggly wave-like line in white, and the texts "rio uruguay" and "TV" in black.

Technique: Unknown. There could be any animation than what is currently described above about the logo, or none at all.

Near the end, the singers begin singing again, with the lyrics being: "Desde el Río de los pájaros pintados... Rio Uruguay... tu canal...". At the end, a slow ascending bell glissando is heard.

Legacy: The music of this ID has become a famous source of nostalgia for many residents living in the Western Uruguay or Entre Rios regions during the time.
