Not to be confused with the American video game company of the former same name The Collective.

Background

Studio71 (formerly known as The Collective, The Collective Management Group, or The Collective Studios, and later known as Collective Digital Studio as a multi-channel network from 2011 to 2015 and as an alternative name from 2015 to 2016) is an American-German entertainment company owned by The North Road Company, that was founded by Reza Izad, Dan Weinstein, Gary Binkow, and Michael Green in 2005, divested its film and TV management business last year. It would set up a another studio eight years later called Studio71 with Sebastian Weil, and Ronald Horstman based in Berlin. In 2014, Michael Green, chairman of The Collective and its digital-focused Collective Digital Studio division, said he is shuttering the company's music-management division to focus entirely on the digital-video business. However; its division, Collective Artist Management is still active as of today. In 2015, Studio71 acquired Collective Digital Studio, and it was renamed as Collective Studio71 for a short time and it was also folded and merged into it the following year.

The Collective

1st Logo (2005-2014)

Logo: On an orange background, a grungy "C" draws itself in. Inside it, "THE COLLECTIVE" is wiped in in with a ray.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo is superimposed.
  • TBA.

Technique: The "C" drawing, the wiping and the ray.

Music/Sounds: None or the ending theme.

Availability: Uncommon. Seen on The Collective television shows from 2005 to 2010 and also seen at the end of FЯED: THE MOVIE. Also seen on a come-back appearance on all episodes of The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange (excluding the pilot) from 2012 to 2014 as well.

2nd Logo (2010-2014)

Logo: We see a grungy "O" on a cracked white scan-line gradient. Then, "O"'s fly in it as the camera quickly zooms out. A flash occurs as the little "O"'s turn into "THE COLLECTIVE", which spaces out until it is normal. Part of the "O" fades out, turning it into a "C".

Variants:

  • Like the previous logo, sometimes it is superimposed on the credits.
  • A short version exists.

Technique: The "O"'s flying, the flash, the name spacing out, the "O" turning into a "C".

Music/Sounds: A synth theme with whoosh sounds, none or the opening/ending theme.

Availability: Common. Seen on The Collective television shows and movies such as V/H/S from 2010 to 2014, except for The Misfortune of Being Ned and The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange. All episodes of the latter (except "Marshmalia") use the previous logo.
