1st Logo (August 19, 1995-1996)

Visuals: On a light purple background with two faint moving searchlights is the letter "f", and next to it is a black box with two yellow searchlights. Under the text and box is "Networks". Sometimes, a trademark notice is below the logo.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Lost and Found and the game show No Relation.

2nd Logo (June 1, 1998-June 30, 1999)

Visuals: Over a backdrop full of skyscrapers, there is a close-up of a typical Fox structure, but with the 1997 FX logo on top with eight searchlights surrounding it (two in front, two on the sides and four from behind). The camera zooms out until the entire tower is on screen. The registered trademark "®" symbol and the copyright notice "© [YEAR] FX NETWORKS, LLC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED" fade in below.

Technique: CGI by REZN8.

Audio: The closing theme of the show or generic network theme.

Availability: Seen on the series Penn & Teller's Sin City Spectacular and Bobcat's Big Ass Show.

3rd Logo (July 20, 1999-September 12, 2000)

Visuals: Over a black background, the logo starts with parts of the 1997 FX logo spread out, forming the logo with a white glow. There is a copyright notice below, reading "© 2000 FX NETWORKS, LLC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED".

Variants:

  • On a few episodes, the logo is stretched.
  • There is also a long version.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on the first season of Son of the Beach and all of The Dick & Paula Celebrity Special, among others.

4th Logo (June 2000)

Visuals: On a blue, techno-like background with a bunch of X letters on it is the 1997 FX logo with an FX Networks copyright notice at the bottom.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on The New Movie Show with Chris Gore.

5th Logo (March 13-July 17, 2001)

Visuals: On a black/blue background, there is a blue version of the 1997 FX logo with a glass effect rotation. The box has the searchlights cut out in it. Below it is the same copyright notice of the last two logos appearing.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on the second season of Son of the Beach, and also appeared on the TV movie A Glimpse of Hell.

6th Logo (March 12, 2002-2003)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a light that reveals the 1997 FX logo zooming in. Appearing below is copyright information that reads "© TM [year] Twentieth Century Fox and its related entities."

Variants:

  • On later shows, the zoom-in is in warp speed, and the X has a shadow zoom-in effect. Plus the copyright information is darker and fits to the logo.
  • Same as above, but on a green background and the searchlights are white and blue. Appears on Season 3 of Son of The Beach.
  • On the TV movie RFK, the logo is bigger, zooms in slowly, and doesn't have any effects on the X.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on all FX shows and TV movies from 2002 to 2003 such as Son of The Beach and The Shield.

7th Logo (January 7, 2003-2004)

Visuals: Over a black background, the logo starts with white strips forming the FX logo letters. Then the green/white searchlight box fades in next to the logo, forming the 1997 FX logo. There is a copyright stamp below that reads "© [year] FX Networks, LLC. All rights reserved."

Variants:

  • On the TV movie The Pentagon Papers, "In Association With" is seen below the logo.
  • On season 2 episodes of The Shield, the logo is stretched.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: The ending theme of the show or none.

Availability: This is seen on FX shows aired from 2003 to 2005 such as The Shield and Trash to Cash.

8th Logo (2004-2005)

Visuals: Over a black background, the logo starts with the two letters "FX" as well as the FX logo zooming out looking distorted at first, then assembling into the 1997 FX logo. It shines whilst zooming out even slower than before. A copyright stamp fades in below.

Variant: On Meltdown, the logo is open-matted and slightly animated differently, also without copyright stamp.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A whoosh sound.

Audio Variants: Otherwise, the closing theme plays over it. On Meltdown, none.

Availability: This was seen on shows airing on FX in the 2004-2005 season, such as early episodes of Rescue Me and season 3 of The Shield, but current prints of these two shows delete it. Also seen on the TV movies Meltdown (Amazon Prime and Tubi prints retain it) and Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story.

9th Logo (March 15, 2005-January 6, 2008)

Visuals: On a black background with green lighting, there are four copies of the 1997 FX logo spinning like a wheel. The background zooms out to reveal the FX logo with lights. There is a copyright stamp below that reads "© [year] FX Networks, LLC. All Rights Reserved."

Trivia: This logo was based on FX's 2005-2008 on-air look.

Variants:

  • In 2006, tons of X letters were added in the background. Seen on season 2 of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
    • An alternate version of this variant exists (same as above, except with the following changes: the animation is modified a bit, the X letters are on a lightgreen background, the spinning of the logos is faster [and barely seen] and three FX logos fade out a few seconds later as the background becomes darker, without zoom-out) on shows that premiered post-2006.
    • A 4:3 version exists: same as the 16:9 2006 variant, but stretched to 4:3. Seen on season 5 episodes of The Shield.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: Six fast-paced techno drumbeat notes followed by a wind-like sound. This was originally used as the network's jingle at the time.

Audio Variants:

  • Otherwise, the closing theme plays over it.
  • Some season 3 episodes of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia have the first note cut off.
  • On Over There, it's the finishing of the abridged 1997 20th Century Fox theme (which begins on the TCFTV logo before it).

Availability: This is seen on every FX show and TV movie aired from 2005 to 2008 such as The Shield, Thief, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The Riches, Rescue Me and season 1 of Dirt. On international airings of the former and the latter show, this logo was removed in favor of the Sony Pictures Television International logo and the 2006 Buena Vista International Television logo. Also seen on Over There and episodes of The Shield from the time.

10th Logo (January 7, 2008-December 20, 2019)

Visuals: There is a few copies of the FX logo (this time without the searchlight box) floating and spinning around, and the camera is positioned close to this. There is another shot of this happening. As a glimpse of the shot appears, a white 2D FX logo then spins to the center of the screen and faces the viewer on a dark background with a whitish-bluish light shining in the bottom-right corner. There are also shadows of the FX logos floating and spinning in the background as well. Copyright information appears below that reads "© [year] FX Networks, LLC. All Rights Reserved."

Later Variant: Starting in 2013, a modified version of the FX logo is used (with the letters connected at the top), now blue on a background with a blue light shining greatly at the center without shadows. In 2018, a lens flare was added on the bottom right corner of the screen.

Variant: A short version exists.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A three-note deep synth tune with two slow and soft hi hat-like sounds.

Audio Variants:

  • On Sons of Anarchy, the closing theme plays over it.
  • On one European-located audio track of Netflix's print of the season 5 premiere of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, entitled "The Gang Exploits the Mortgage Crisis", the logo is high-pitched, along with the 3 Arts Entertainment, RCG and FX Productions logos.
    • This is due to the audio track using a PAL print.
    • The pitch is corrected on all other audio tracks.
  • On the It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia episodes "How Mac Got Fat" and "The Gang Recycles Their Trash", it used the 2007 FX Productions logo's music, due to a reverse plaster error.

Availability: Seen on all shows and TV movies produced by FX between 2008-2019.

11th Logo (September 2019-March 1, 2020)

Visuals: On a white setting, the screen pans past some vertical beams. As the camera pans to the front, it is revealed that these beams form the FX logo. The segmented background blinks out.

Closing Variant: The already-formed FX logo zooms in against a white silk setting and without copyright information.

Technique: Computer animation by Trollbäck+Company.

Audio: Similar to the FXP music, but with just a piano and a synth. Composed by Mark Camperell and Owen Granich-Young.

Availability: It's seen on the second season of Mayans M.C. and Mr Inbetween, among other FX shows of the time.

12th Logo (March 2, 2020-)

Visuals: On a black background, the camera quickly pans around to see the FX logo forming (in the same style as the previous logo), with various different abstract scenes being projected onto the logo. As it finishes forming, the word "FEARLESS" fades onto the screen, before then quickly fading out. The FX logo, now a blue color, fades out soon after.

Closing Variant: The already-formed logo zooms out as the word "FEARLESS" fades in and out. Copyright information appears below that reads "© [year] FX Networks, LLC. All Rights Reserved."

Variants:

  • Starting with the Mayans M.C. episode "Pap Struggles with the Death Angel" (2021), the opening variant is now bigger.
  • On the Atlanta episode "Rich Wigga, Poor Wigga", both variants are in black and white to fit with the episode's theme.
  • On The Bear episode "Tomorrow", the logo is tinted in blue.
  • During the FX on Hulu panel in the 2020 Disney Investor Day, the logo was formed after the castle from the Disney logo, created with particles, was dissolved. After the logo was formed, it pans to the left side, as it goes inside, showcasing the various shows the network aired at the time, along with reveals of new shows. After that, it goes outside, showing the FX logo once more, then it zooms out to show the rest of the Disney content, such as Disney+, Pixar, Marvel, Hulu and more, then it zooms in to the bottom right to show the chairman of FX, John Landgraf, a bit closer to the camera then fades out. At the end of the panel, the camera pans to the right as abstact scenes are projected then it changes color.
  • The trailer for the 2024 series Shogun has the logo surrounded by a block drawn in Japanese ink.

Technique: CGI by Trollbäck+Company.

Audio: The music from the previous logo, composed by Mark Camperell and Owen Granich-Young. In the closing variant, a deep synth tone is heard.

Audio Variant: On The Bear episode "Tomorrow", the opening theme plays over it.

Availability: Seen at the beginning and end of FX programming from the time. The logo can also be seen at the end of the music video of "sad day" by FKA twigs.
