GTG East was a division of GTG Entertainment, the company best known for producing the first season of Baywatch. GTG East produced reality programming in the East Coast and was one of two divisions that GTG operated; the other was GTG West, which made GTG's scripted entertainment series in Los Angeles (GTG West never had its own logo, instead using the main company's logo). Both divisions closed alongside the venture itself in 1990. GTG East is perhaps best known for their flop TV news magazine based on USA Today, which was produced entirely by GTG partner Gannett.
