1st Logo (1983-1988)

Visuals: On a changing brownish gradient background, there is a silver box with the following text in an angular, art-deco font shifting from the right:

The box has line borders between each word. After it stops shifting, a bar of light shimmers the box from the right, eventually stopping.

Variants:

  • At the beginning of television shows and some distributed movies, a silver bar with "P R E S E N T S" is shown.
  • Some programs feature the copyright line below the logo.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Two loud whooshes.

Audio Variants:

  • Sometimes, only one whoosh is heard.
  • Other times, the end title theme from any show carries over this logo.

Availability:

  • Seen on colorized versions of movies such as the Video Treasures release of It's a Wonderful Life (1946).
  • It was also seen at the end of early episodes of Kids Incorporated.
  • This logo can also be seen on The Laurel and Hardy Show on This TV and TCM broadcasts of Topper Returns.
  • It was also seen at the beginning of an INSP airing of Angel and the Badman.
  • It is also preserved on the 1986 UK VHS release of the colorized version of It's a Wonderful Life (1946) which was released by The Video Collection.
  • It is also intact at the start of a Tubi streaming print of Choices (1986) after the 2018 FilmRise logo.
  • It was also seen at the start of a January 8, 2024 UK airing of the colorized version of Angel and the Badman (1947) on LEGEND.
