Background
ITC Home Video was the home media division of the ITC Entertainment Group. In America, the company's releases were distributed by J2 Communications and, later, Live Entertainment.
Logo (1988-1996)
Visuals: Same as the 1987 ITC logo, except that "Home Video" wipes in below a la the ITC Entertainment Group/opening logo variant.
Technique: Cel animation by Craig Clark.
Audio: An alternate take of the John O'Kennedy music at a higher pitch, with louder sparkling sounds, a notable cut at the final synth note, earlier cymbals, and earlier clanging.
Availability: This logo is seen on VHS releases by the company from the time-period until 1996.
- Examples include The Last Unicorn, Return of the Pink Panther (1975), Whispers (1990 version from Live Home Video), and On Golden Pond (1981), among others.
- It can also be found on the 1989 J2 Communications/ITC Home Video Laserdisc release of On Golden Pond (1981).
- It was also seen at the end of an unknown episode of Gideon's Way.
- It is also seen on UK VHS releases such as the 1994 UK VHS release of Halfway Across the Galaxy and Turn Left - 2, among others.
