Background
On January 29, 2007, i: Independent Television was renamed Ion Television following the rebrand of its parent company as Ion Media Networks. Ion usually airs its programming in daily binge blocks of one program. On January 7, 2021, E.W. Scripps Company bought Ion Media Networks for $2.65 billion; in order to get FCC approval for the transaction, 23 of Ion's 87 stations were sold by Scripps to Inyo Broadcast Holdings.
Visuals: On a black background, there is a lighthouse's light coming from the "i" in the "ion" logo. The light then forms the words "televis" next to "ion" and radial waves appear from it, changing the background to blue. The logo keeps shining for a few more seconds and the background changes back to black. Then, another wave turns the background back to blue, and then fades back again to black. A final wave turns the background blue again.
