Selmur Productions was founded in 1961 by Selig J. Seligman as a production sub-arm of ABC Films, the former syndication division of the ABC Television Network. Today, CBS Corporation through CBS Television Distribution and Spelling Television Inc. owns most of the Selmur library and handles North American rights, while Disney Home Media Distribution only handles the international rights.
