Selmur Productions was founded in 1961 by Selig J. Seligman as a production sub-arm of ABC Films, the former syndication division of the ABC Television Network. Today, ViacomCBS through CBS Television Distribution and Spelling Television Inc. owns most of the Selmur library and handles North American rights, while Disney Home Media Distribution only handles the international rights.
Nickname: "Huge S"
Logo: On the closing credits, we would see a huge, oddly-designed "S". The text:
"SELMUR" and "PRODUCTIONS" appear inside the "S". The entire text is in the same font as the "S".
Variants:
FX/SFX: Some shows it's superimposed. On other shows such as General Hospital, it's the credits scrolling.
Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.
Availability: Rare. It was seen on Combat!, Shindig!, 1963-1967 episodes of General Hospital, and the short-lived series Garrison's Gorillas.
Editor's Note: None.
