Background

TV6 is a British documentary production company founded by Richard Reisz.

Logo (February 21, 1994-)

Visuals: On a gray background with lighting on the left, a black diagonal bar draws into the right, landing on the surface, and its shadow rotates to the latter direction. Then, as the screen zooms out, a red beveled "6" draws in beginning at the top of its counter. Once the shadow nearly matches the shape of the bar, it fades to the right portion of the "V", followed by a wide black "T" fading to the letter's left. Alongside the "T", "A" and "PRODUCTION" fade over and below "TV", alongside "FOR" and in-credit information covering the channel's name or logo and copyright stamp.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo is inside a box, whose size may vary.
  • Sometimes, the logo also shares the screen with other logos (including the 1997 BBC and 1999 Channel 4 "Square" logos).

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The closing theme of the programme.

Availability: This logo is seen on the Cutting Edge documentary "Airport", Into the Great Pyramid and Ancient Armageddon, among other documentaries.
