Background

Tele Roma Europa (TRE) was an Italian television station, based in Rome.

1st ID (Late 1980s)

Visuals: Over a navy/pink zooming starfield, a golden rectangle flies in, soon zooming in to cover the lower half of the screen. Various colorful balls bounce on it, causing the blue text "TRE" with a rectangle in the left to pop up. A copy of the letter "E" soon flies out of the said letter, flipping to the opposite side and settling in the rectangle as the golden rectangle flies away. The text zooms in slightly before returning to its regular position, as the red gradient covers the lower half.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A new-age chime tune, followed by 3 dings when the balls bounce. It segues into a majestic 4-note orchestral theme.

2nd Logo (August 10, 1990)

Visuals: The sequence starts off with a close-up of a blue logomark. It soon zooms out while tilting slightly, revealing the text "TRE" zooming out and a sky background.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An arpeggiating xylophone theme, followed by a 4-note piano tune.
