Canal Once/Canal 11

1st Logo (1981)

Logo: On a black background, we see a white circle in the middle of the screen. Then, several multicolored lasers start moving inside the circle, which zooms in to fill the rest of the screen. After a bit, the words "1981" and "es" ("is" in Spanish) zoom in from the top of the screen and curve down like a rollercoaster. When they stop at the middle of the screen, copies of each of the numbers "1" separate from them and fly below "es" where they form the number "11", after which the letters "o ce" wipe in around them, forming the word "once" ("eleven") in a stylized font, with "11" representing the letter "n". The text then zooms out into the background, leaving the lasers.

Technique: The lasers and the circle, the text zooming in and the logo forming.

Music/Sounds: None.

2nd Logo (1982-1983)

Logo: On a black background, we see a grid scrolling along the bottom of the screen with a blue horizon. White lines then appear in the distance and draw the outline of an obelisk, which is then filled in with white as two rows of skyscrapers with shining windows wipe in. This creates an effect similar to the print logo at the time, before a circle with the top of the obelisk inside zooms in until it covers the screen, where most of the obelisk fades out and the blue trapezium that remains morphs into a rectangle as a line of light moves from the top of the screen to the bottom, cutting it in half to form the number "11" and forming the words "L.S. 84 TV CANAL 11 BUENOS AIRES ARGENTINA", while two gold lights move towards "11", scanning the outlines of the letters "ca al". When they meet, the letters "ca al in a blocky bronze font fade in and complete the word "canal", and a metallic shine appears on the logo.

Variant: A completely different, shorter version exists. On a black background, four light sparks in different colors and with two thick lines on the ends of each one fly across the screen. A blue light spark then appears and splits, drawing a pair of thick blue lines in the middle of the screen, with a white outline slowly expanding around them. The rest of the logo then forms in a similar fashion to the end of the main version. This version uses an abridged version of the synth cello thme.

Technique: The obelisk being drawn, the skyscrapers appearing, the logo forming.

Music/Sounds: A theme composed of synth beeping, followed by a synth flute/cello tune and an announcer saying "Desde Buenos Aires transmite LS 84 TV, Canal Once." ("From Buenos Aires transmits LS 84 TV, Channel Eleven.").

3rd Logo (1983)

Logo: On a black background, we see an orange neon-lined lion with a blue crown (Leoncio, the channel's mascot at the time) next to a neon blue camera. He begins to operate the camera and a neon blue "O" is emitted from the camera. The lion and camera fade out and the letters "N", "C", and "E" fade in, forming "ONCE". The word spins in a panoramic view and a neon cowboy on horseback leaps out of the "C" and takes out a lasso as "ONCE" fades out. The lasso splits into 5 circles and the cowboy and horse disappear. 2 of the circles disappear and the remaining 3 turn into women dancing the can-can. The logo then cuts to a couple about to kiss in a dim room with smoke around it. We then cut to a ballerina dancing inside the "O" as the camera zooms in. The ballerina then morphs into a curtain which opens to reveal a clown's face. We then cut to a person playing an electric guitar in the "O", as the camera zooms in, before cutting to a person with a camera looking around and a satellite spinning around a purple

planet. We then cut to a diver in the "O" preparing to jump, and they jump as the camera follows them and they morph into a plane that flies through the "O". The logo zooms out, revealing the words "CANAL ONCE" as "LS 84 TV CANAL 11 - BUENOS AIRES - ARGENTINA" in blue fades in below.

Technique: The neon objects and various people, the transitions.

Music/Sounds: A synthesized theme that plays for the entirety of the logo, changing to fit each scene. For example, while the three women dance the can-can, a synthesized arrangement of Infernal Galop from Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld (the tune most associated with this dance) is heard. On some occassions, an announcer says "Desde Buenos Aires transmite LS 84 TV, Canal Once.".

Availability: Extinct. Might have been used in tandem with the 2nd and 4th logos.

4th Logo (1984-1985)

Logo: On a black background, the word "canal" in yellow zooms in while two large, italicized "1"s with a red outline fly in, one slowly from the center and the other quickly from the top right. The "1"s also have thin "ramps" attached to the bottom of them. When they collide with each other, the outlines quickly fill in with white, the background becomes blue and the "11" becomes red, before darkening as a white gradient fills the bottom half. The words "LS 84 TV", in white and in a stacked position, then wipe in next to the "11", followed by "BUENOS AIRES" and "ARGENTINA".

Technique: The pieces of the "11" flying in, the text appearing.

Music/Sounds: A heavy synth theme with 3 very loud notes at the beginning, an announcer saying "Transmite LS 84 TV, Canal Once, Buenos Aires, Argentina.", and a series of computer beeps.

5th Logo (1985-1986)

Logo: On a black background, several stripes in orange and yellow shades wipe in and form a downward tube shape, after which a mound with a yellow arrow on its tip forms inside. Everything but the arrow then fades to blue, while the arrow fades to red, before becoming a red "11" as the text "CANAL ONCE" fades in below, along with the text "LS 84 TV CANAL 11 BUENOS AIRES ARGENTINA" below it.

Music/Sounds: A dreamy synth tune with an announcer saying "Transmite LS 84 Televisión, Canal Once, Buenos Aires, Argentina.".

6th Logo (1986-1988)

Logo: On a space background with the stars zooming out, the word "canal" in an indigo futuristic font flips into place, while a white "II" flips onto the "n" and plasters itself on its place. The text "LS 84 TV BUENOS AIRES ARGENTINA" in white and in a stack fades in

Technique:The flipping.

Music/Sounds: A different dreamy synth tune with an announcer saying "Transmite LS 84 Televisión, Canal Once, Buenos Aires, Argentina.".

7th Logo (1988-1989)

Logo: On a black background with an {color|orange|orange}} glow spot in the lower right corner, seventeen lines with a couple of bumps across them are drawn in and two more lines that are perpendicular to the others are drawn in under them. Another row of lines draws itself in, comes in contact with the bottom lines, and flashes. The lines disappear and the glow spot turns into a row of long rectangles, which fly towards the screen and rotate forward. Once the rectangles move to the other side, a white square, two black rectangles with what seems to be white outlines of landscapes on them, and the words "LS 84" in a Art Deco font fly in and stop at different places on the screen. The letters of the word "canal", now in a pink and aqua font, zoom out and rotate as the "II" zooms out with a particle effect. Another white square rotates to the top of the screen, "BUENOS AIRES" fades in below the logo, and "LS 84" shines.

Technique: A mix of CGI and 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: An upbeat theme with an announcer saying "Transmite LS 84 Televisión, Canal Once, Buenos Aires, Argentina.".

8th Logo (1989)

Logo: In what appears to be a warehouse, we see a large gray block with several copies of the Canal Once logo of the time (a "C" with an "O" inside) on it. Several gray blocks fly in to form a line, and when the 4th block flies in, a gold version of the logo with the "O" spinning rotates in. The letters "nce", also in gold, fly in to complete the word "Once as three lines (one red, one green and one yellow) slide in. The words "Ls 84 Canal 11 Bs. As." in yellow slide in as a green line slides to the top of the line, while the "O" continues to spin.

Technique: The box forming and lines.

Music/Sounds: An dark rock tune with an announcer saying "LS 84 Televisión, Canal Once, Buenos Aires, Argentina."..

Telefe

1st Logo (1990)

Logo: On a book flip transition, we see the words "TELEFE" in a futuristic blue font with the "T" and the "F" being bigger than the other letters and hanging over the first and last "E"s, and the text "LS84 T.V. CANAL 11 BS.AS.ARGENTINA" below, all on a light blue metallic grid-like background. After a minute, the logo shines.

Technique: The page flipping, the shining.

Music/Sounds: An organ theme with an announcer saying "Desde Buenos Aires transmite Telefe. LS 84 TV, Canal Once, Republica Argentina." ("From Buenos Aires transmits LS 84 TV, Channel Eleven.").

Availability: Extinct. The logo was used for less than a year.

2nd Logo (1990-2000)

The Telefe logo from 1990.

Logo: On a white gradient background, we see 3 balls: One is blue with the letters "TE" on it, the other is green with the letters "LE", and the last one is red with the letters "FE". These balls fly in, start flying through the screen, and place themselves in the correct order, forming the word "TELEFE". The channel indicator appears below.

Variant:

• A short version just consists of the 3 balls appearing.
• Starting in 1991, the background is black instead of white.
• In 2000, another variant was used, this time to celebrate the 10th anniversary.

Technique: The spheres.

Music/Sounds: Same as the previous logo, but the announcer sounds slightly different. The short version has a majestic tune.

3rd Logo (1990-1995)

Logo: We see a dark black/blue background with a drawing of the Earth, represented entirely by South America with the Rio de la Plata region centered in. The three CG balls shoot in one-by-one and circle the globe before settling into the center. The text "TELEFE" then fades in front of the balls, as well as the indicator byline of the station below.

Technique: The spheres.

Music/Sounds: Same as the previous logo.

Availability: Extinct.

4th Logo (1991-199?)

Logo: Most of these IDs consist of the same balls from the previous logo appearing on a random live-action scenery, mostly implying a season.

Variants: TBA

Technique: Depends, but mostly live-action.

Music/Sounds: The early variants used the short variant of the previous logo's theme. Some later ones had a choir singing "Teeleeefeeee!".

Availability: Extinct.

5th Logo (199?-199?)

Logo: A similar idea to that of the previous logo, but the balls are animated and act like people. The situations or sceneries are also more cartoonish.

Variants:

• Spring 1996: The 3 balls are riding bikes in a valley, but several butterflies start flying after them. The balls try to escape, but they fail and end up falling.
• Rainbow: The balls slide on three forming rainbows and fall on the floor.

Technique: Depends on the variant.

Music/Sounds: Same as the previous logo.

Availability: Extinct.

6th Logo (1995-2000)

Logo: From a starfield, we pan out of the right side of a 3D spinning Earth model while the TELEFE balls of the previous idents spin in and circle it from behind. As the camera settles in we see the three balls positioned at the left of the globe, zooming into position. A satellite appears from the bottom of the Earth orbiting it. The indicator info of the channel fades in below.

Variant: Similarly to the 2nd logo, a special variant of the ident made to commemorate the year 2000 was made.

Technique: The models of the Earth, sphere and satellites.

Music/Sounds: Same as the 2nd logo.

Availability: Extinct.

7th Logo (2000-2001)

Logo: On a white foggy/water surface, we see the same balls from the previous 3 logos, now made of glass and without the words "TELEFE", casting a shadow of their respective color that gradually moves from an angle. The text "Juntos, todo bien" ("Together, everything is good") is written in below.

Variants:

• There was a transition version with the slogan "telefe, un sentimiento" ("telefe, a feeling"). This was used before the next logo.
• During winter, the logo appears on a snow surface and it's snowing.
• During fall, a leaf flies through the screen.
• On a seasonal version, the logo appears in the rain.

Technique: The foggy background, the color shadows, the text writing.

Music/Sounds: Depending on the variants.

8th Logo (2001)

Logo: On a white background, we see some lines flying across the screen, after which the redesigned logo appears, with "un sentimento" appearing under the spheres, and the word "telefe" spinning around the tri-colored lines.

Technique: The lines, the logo fading, the text spinning.

Music/Sounds: A calming tune.

Availability: Extinct.

9th Logo (2001-2002)

Logo: On a white background, a green aurora appears and fills the screen, after which the Telefe logo with "un sentimiento" below it zooms in.

Technique: Same as the previous logo.

Music/Sounds: A synthesized tune.

Availability: Extinct.

10th Logo (2002-2003)

Logo: On a white background, we see the Telefe logo (the balls are now solid) with "un sentimiento" below, which zooms out as three rings with the same colors fly in and start rotating. When the red ring is close to the screen, the word "telefe" appears on it, and the ring moves back, rotating and making the word "telefe" and the text "argentina 2002" below it appear, as the rings move off-screen.

Technique: The rings moving.

Music/Sounds: A redesigned version of the previous logo's tune, this time with piano-like sounds.

Availability: Extinct.

11th Logo (2003-2004)

Logo: We see the balls of the Telefe logo, now glossier, flying through multiple blue, green and red backgrounds with the word "telefe" rotating with them. After some of these scenes, the balls place themselves down on a blue and red background with a green stripe in the middle, as "telefe" slides in to complete the logo and the slogan "siempre" ("forever") and the channel indicator slide in below the finished logo.

Technique: The backgrounds changing, the balls flying.

Music/Sounds: A synthesized tune with a choir singing "Oooo, Telefeee, siempre!" at the end.

Availability: Extinct.

12th Logo (2004)

Logo: We see many bubbles fly around in a red background that briefly becomes blue and green before turning red again. After the bubbles fly around some more, the balls of the Telefe logo zoom out with a rippling effect, as the words "telefe" and "siempre" wipe in and the channel indicator fades in below.

Technique: The bubbles flying, the rippling effect.

Music/Sounds: A rearranged version of the previous logo's theme.

Availability: Extinct, only used during 2004.

13th Logo (2004-2006)

Logo: We see lights moving around in a red aurora background, which becomes blue and green before turning into a background with all three colors, as the balls of the Telefe logo fade in, the words "telefe" and "siempre" wipe in and the channel indicator fades in below.

Variant: In 2005, the channel's slogan "Buena tele. Buena fe." ("Good television. Good faith.") was added in the scene where the background becomes green.

Technique: The lights moving, the changing auroras, the logo forming.

Music/Sounds: Another rearranged version of the 9th logo's theme.

14th Logo (2006-2007)

Logo: We see the same light swoosh from the previous logo on a green background that becomes red and blue. The number "06" with the Telefe logo's balls in the "0" appears and zooms out before disappearing, after which the Telefe logo with "Buena tele. Buena fe." next to it appears.

Variant: In 2007, the logo was updated with "TLF2007" next to the logo's balls and the slogan below them.

15th Logo (2007-2008)

Logo: On a red background that becomes blue and green, we see multiple particles flying. After more scenes as the background keeps changing colors, we see white circles flashing on the background with the Telefe logo in white and the new slogan "una buena señal" ("a good sign") below.

Music/Sounds: A romantic tune.

'Music/Sounds Variant: In 2008, the tune is rearranged slightly.

16th Logo (2008-2009)

Logo: On a light blue background, we see the Telefe logo's balls spinning with the word "telefe" flying around them. After some close-ups on the spinning logo, the logo slides in and the slogan "una buena señal" appears underneath.

Variant: A version with a multicolored circular background exists.

Technique: The balls spinning, the text sliding.

Music/Sounds: An action-like-theme tune.

Music/Sounds Variant: Sometimes, the tune is rearranged.

17th Logo (2009-2011)

Logo: We see a blue background with multiple lines of light moving through it, as the camera follows one line's path. After this, the camera zooms out, gradually revealing the logo was inside the green ball of the Telefe logo, and the channel indicator appears underneath.

Variants:

• Sometimes, "una buena señal" appears underneath.
• Occassionally, the background is green or red.

Technique: The lines moving, the camera zooming out, the logo forming.

Music/Sounds: A romantic techno theme. In 2010, the theme was changed to the 2008 theme.

18th Logo (2011)

Logo: On a gold background, multiple blue, green and red lines spin around the camera and form the Telefe balls, The number "2011" briefly appears before the balls are formed.

Variant: Sometimes, the slogan "tenemosmuchoquever" ("we have a lot to do") appears underneath.

Technique: The lines spinning, the logo forming.

Music/Sounds: A calm romantic tune.

Availability: Extinct.

19th Logo (2011-2018)

Logo: Several blue, red and green trails of lines appear, revolving and flying through the screen. After a while, they come together to form the Telefe balls, and the words "telefe siempre juntos" ("telefe always together") appear below.

Variant:

• In later years, the logo was adapted to 16:9.
• In 2015, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Telefe, the trails are colored white and form the number "25", with the Telefe logo appearing below, the text "TELEFE Y VOS" ("TELEFE AND YOU") flipping in, and "25 AÑOS JUNTOS" ("25 YEARS TOGETHER") fading in.

Music/Sounds: A whimsical-sounding synthesized theme.

Music/Sounds Variant: In the 25th anniversary variant, the theme ends with a synth rock rendition of the final notes of "Happy Birthday to You".

20th Logo (2018-)

Logo: On a white background, we see multiple blue, green and red balls floating around, before all but three of them move away and the remaining balls form the Telefe logo.

Variants:

• Before a show airs, an ID shows the blue, green and red balls doing random things.
• In 2020, to celebrate the channel's 30th anniversary, the ID shows a blue background and the blue, green and red balls bounce in and say "EN ESTE 2020" ("IN THIS 2020"), after which the camera scrolls up and briefly shows the channel's previous logos, before showing blue, green and red lines sliding down and the Telefe logo forming, with the text saying "TELEFE 30 AÑOS" before a firework changes it to "FESTEJEMOS JUNTOS" ("LET'S PARTY TOGETHER") as the number "30" appears above the logo.

Technique: The animated balls.

Music/Sounds: A relaxing romantic tune.

Music/Sounds Variant: In the 30th anniversary variant, it starts with a piano theme accompanied by chattering sounds when the balls bounce in, with the music gradually becoming more majestic, a rewinding sound effect when the camera scrolls up, a percussion tune with a choir singing "Telefe!", three guitar notes when the logo is revealed, a firework sound, and a majestic rock rendition of the three notes.
