Background

WISH-TV (channel 8) is a television station in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, affiliated with The CW. It is locally owned by Circle City Broadcasting alongside Marion-licensed MyNetworkTV affiliate WNDY-TV (channel 23) and low-power, Class A getTV affiliate WIIH-CD (channel 17). The stations share studios on North Meridian Street (at the north end of the Television Row section) on the near north side of Indianapolis; WISH-TV and WNDY-TV also share transmitter facilities on Walnut Drive in the Augusta section of the city's northwest side (near Meridian Hills).

1st ID (Early 1990s)

Visuals: On a blue gradient background with a faint white number "8" shown, the said number is shown being in a red rectangle, along with the white text "WISHTV" in a black bar next to it and a black word "INDIANAPOLIS" in a white bar with a yellow line sandwiched between them.

Technique: A still computer graphic.

Audio: None.

2nd ID (1992)

Visuals: Over a city skyline, several copies of a silver number "8" zoom out and face the screen while the silver text "WISH-TV" rotated 90 degrees flies through their center and settles in the left portion. A blue silver rectangle fades in in the said number, as well as the white number fading in in the background and spinning slowly and a white word "Indianapolis" below. The word soon wipes into the text "Indiana's Own".

Technique: CGI and computer animation.

Audio: The audio from the news promo accompanied by an announcer.
