Background

War Drum Studios is a cutting-edge video game developer located in Gainesville, Florida. The company is best known for porting Rockstar Games titles into mobile, such as Grand Theft Auto titles (III, Vice City and San Andreas, the latter of which also being ported to Xbox 360 and PS3), the first Max Payne game and Bully. The company was also best known for their mobile and Nintendo Switch ports of Ark: Survival Evolved, and the mobile, Xbox 360 and PS3 ports of the History Channel licensed game Great Battles: Medieval.

In 2021, the company was renamed into Grove Street Games. The current company name was named after the neighborhood in Gainesville, Florida.

Logo (2009)

Visuals: On a black background, a grey moon wipes in while rotating to the left. As it's almost done rotating, the moon gains a shadow while the background turns to white. "W" then appears on the moon, followed by the text "WAR DRUM STUDIOS". The moon then pounds to the drumbeats, two times.

Technique: 2D CGI.

Audio: A quiet whoosh, with a two-note drumbeat at the end.

Availability: Seen on the PS2 port of Ghostbusters: The Video Game.
