Background

This is Nina Wass and Eugene Stein's vanity card.

Logo (October 10, 2000-September 19, 2011)

Visuals: The screen is divided into 2 sections, with the top half of the screen white, and the bottom half teal. The words "WASS-STEIN" appear at the top. Vertically aligned at the right of the screen, the years of the TV season (e.g. "2004 2005") are placed at the border of the colors. The earlier year appears at the bottom in white, and the latter one appears at the top in teal. The logo is still.

Variants:

  • The logo's positioning may vary.
  • The 2002-2003 version has a widescreen version that has two white pillarbox-like bars on either side of the logo.
  • The versions from the 2003-2004 version onward are presented in true 16:9 widescreen.

Technique: Cutting effects.

Audio: A short piano tune combined with some chimes. Composed by Jonathan Wolff.

Audio Trivia: Coincidentally, Interbang Inc. used the same theme in their logo, six years before this logo debuted. The two companies have no relation outside of working with Touchstone Television, but they both have made shows with music scores composed by Jonathan Wolff.

Audio Variants:

  • On The Protector and Sherri, both of which Wolff didn't compose music for, the closing theme plays over this logo.
  • Original ABC and NBC airings have generic bumper music played over the logo.

Availability: It appeared on The Geena Davis Show, Go Fish, Less Than Perfect, Regular Joe, Sherri (2009), and The Protector. Of these shows, Less Than Perfect and Sherri are available on DVD.
