Background

This was the television arm of The Weinstein Company. It was done in by the Harvey Weinstein scandal and TWC's subsequent bankruptcy.

1st Logo (December 7, 2005-October 12, 2017)

Visuals: Essentially just a sped-up version of the film logo.

Variants:

  • On seasons 2-9 of Project Runway, the logo is above the Miramax Television logo.
  • On Project Runway Canada, the logo is a still version on a white background and the text is black.

Technique: CGI by Kelly Carlton at Intralink Film Graphic Design.

Audio: The closing theme of the show. None for the still version.

Availability: It appears on Project Runway starting with season 2, Project Runway: All Stars, Project Runway Canada, and Mob Wives on VH1.

2nd Logo (December 12, 2014-April 5, 2018)

Visuals: The screen fades to the "TWC" version of the film logo already formed. Before it's fully faded in, the letters "TELEVISION" fades in below.

Variant: A variant exists where "TWC" is replaced with the full name and "TELEVISION" is replaced with "TV".

Technique: CGI by Kelly Carlton at Intralink Film Graphic Design.

Audio: The opening/closing theme of the show or none.

Availability: Seen on the Netflix series Marco Polo and the Lifetime and History Channel miniseries War and Peace. It was also seen on Julian Fellowes Presents: Doctor Thorne.
