Appian Way Productions is a film and television production company founded by actor and filmmaker Leonardo DiCaprio in 2001. Named after the historic Appian Way in Rome, the company reflects DiCaprio's commitment to storytelling that blends artistry with meaningful themes. From its inception, the company has focused on producing content that highlights social issues, environmental concerns, and historical narratives. The company has been involved in a variety of projects, including critically acclaimed films like The Aviator, The Wolf of Wall Street (Both directed by Martin Scorcese), and The Revenant, the latter of which earned DiCaprio his first Academy Award for Best Actor. In addition to feature films, the company has also ventured into documentary filmmaking in recent years, producing impactful works such as Before the Flood which addresses climate change and global sustainability. The company didn't debut a logo until 2007.
Visuals: On a yellow background, there is a Roman style arch (which bears a slight resemblance to the Arc De Triomphe) that rapidly zooms away from the screen and slightly turns to a different angle, all while an abstract sun and pathway are formed to the left and in front of the arch respectively. After the arch zooms out enough, it is shown to be contained in a box on a black background, and the text "Appian Way" in white positions itself under the design. The logo stays on screen for a few seconds before cutting to black.
Variants:
Technique: CGI.
