Revision as of 13:41, 6 April 2022 by imported>ICantThinkOf1 (→‎(1995-2002): According to a YT video, The Big Comfy Couch was briefly removed from PBS stations in 1999.)

(January 9, 1995-1999)

Logo: On a black background, we see a large yellow elephant with "BENNY SMART" underneath in a blue-violet/red shape.

Variants: Usually, either the word "presents" or the web address "www.bennysmart.com" and copyright information are underneath the logo. Sometimes though, there is no additional text and the logo is zoomed up to where it nearly fills the entire screen.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: A kid (Sara Louise Hartman) says "Benny Smart" and laughs, or silence. On the "presents" variant, we hear her say "Benny Smart presents".

Availability: Seen on PBS airings of The Big Comfy Couch prior to 1999 (co-produced by WITF-TV, Harrisburg PA, before they were replaced by Tadpole Kids and Nashville Public TV in 2002), as well as Someday School on select PBS stations. Surprisingly also seen on Fox Family's airings of Oscar & Friends with audio intact. It can be found on Goldhil tapes of The Big Comfy Couch, but it was taken out on Time-Life Video's releases.

Editors Note: None.
