Background

Kiss From The Universe (ООО "Кисс Фром Зе Юниверс") was a Moscow-based film and TV production company that was founded on May 23rd, 2006 and went defunct on April 29th, 2020.[1]

1st Logo (December 7, 2008-June 9, 2009)

Visuals: On a black background, a pair of shiny red lips (slightly opened, revealing teeth), in a cartoony design, fades in sliding downwards. As it settles near the top, the white letters of the word "kiss", with a heart signifying the dot on the "i"; fade in flying from various directions to form the said word below the lips. Two rows of the spaced-out white text "FROM THE UNIVERSE" (with the last word being set in a "shattered" sans-serif font) flip upwards to the front below "kiss" as a vertical box that contains a cornflower blue nebula with a starfield fades in behind both the lips and the texts. Then both "kiss" and "UNIVERSE" flash, and the logo (excluding the box) zooms out for a bit as a heart dot of the "i", letters "ss" (which became connected) and the word "UNIVERSE" turn red with a white outline.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: Several whooshes accompanying actions over a proud two-note violin-infused orchestra.

Availability: Seen on Моя любимая ведьма, a Russian adaptation of Bewitched.

2nd Logo (May 24-October 2009)

Visuals: On a starfield background with a nebula, the camera moves to the top-left to reveal a shinier version of red lips from the previous logo. As the camera settles still, the company name in the same style as before, albeit translucent, fades in below the lips.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: An eerie and airy humming atmosphere, ending with a light piano ding when the company name appears.

Availability: Seen on Всё по-взрослому.

3rd Logo (March 3-April 3, 2014)

Visuals: In a night sky setting with clouds below, the camera pans up, revealing a cornflower blue light over a starfield. The light flashes and then dies out to reveal a faintly glowing company name in the same style as before, this time fully white and with some differences: the word "UNIVERSE" is set in a normal, bolder font, and a heart dot of the "i" is outlined and emits light rays. The logo then remains on-screen for a second before fading out.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: An ascending synthesized whoosh that abruptly stops when the company name is revealed.

Availability: Seen on the sitcom Дружба народов.
