Background

Lightworkers Media is a Christian film and television production company founded on November 12, 2009 by Mark Burnett and actress Roma Downey. Its most notable projects are the History Channel television series The Bible (which is Burnett's first scripted project) and the feature film Son of God. On September 22, 2014, it became a faith and family division of United Artists Media Group (with Downey remaining as president) after MGM acquired a 55% stake in the company via Burnett's other venture One Three Media.
