Background

Naura was a Malaysian television channel owned by Astro, the first HD channel to focus on Islamic programming. The channel was launched on October 1, 2018 as a replacement of Astro Bella, before it closed down on February 1, 2022. Despite this, its programs can still be seen on Astro Go and On Demand.

ID (October 1, 2018-January 31, 2022)

Visuals: Over a gold or purple flower-textured background, a light forms the "N"-like shape. During this, a gold square rotates from the right, as a Jawi-styled "N" flashes in onto the rectangle before the rectangle fully rotates, which creates a hole on it, and "NAURA" slides in from below. The light then disappears, as another light forms the mirrored "7"-like shape before disappearing again. The camera zooms out and rotates slightly for the entire ident.

Variants:

  • Prior to the channel's renumbering on April 1, 2020, small text reading "SALURAN 125" appeared in the same way as "NAURA" on the bottom-right of the latter.
  • For break bumpers, the light comes in from the left and draws the "N" as a gold square fades in while rotating from the right, which creates the hole in the shape of "N" onto the square. "NAURA" then slides in from below like usual, all on a purple background.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A pop-rock tune played with drums and sitar, with shimmering sounds from the lights.

Audio Variant: For break bumpers, a deep choir with a light shimmering sound when the light appears, followed by a short breakbeat sting.
