Background

This is the vanity card of Michael O'Hara and Lawrence Horowitz.

1st Logo (April 28, 1991)

Visuals: On a black background, "O'HARA-HOROWITZ" appears with "P R O D U C T I O N S" below and "In Association With" underneath all in gold or light yellow depending on the print.

Technique: A still, filmed graphic.

Audio: The ending theme.

Audio Variant: On some prints of Switched at Birth, it is completely silent.

Availability: So far, it can be only seen on the TV movie Switched at Birth, which hasn't aired on television for years, but can be viewed online in Canada on CTV.ca's CTV Movies hub. It is also left intact on the VHS release from Columbia TriStar Home Video, which was released in a two tape pack. The version with the ending theme appears on the first tape, while the second tape uses the silent version.

2nd Logo (April 28, 1993-1998)

Visuals: On a periwinkle gradient background, a burst of sunlight comes racing to the right of the screen before rotating to the opposite side. It then forms a line that is aligned on both sides where it tilts upwards to reveal "O'HARA-HOROWITZ" in the same font as before but more wide and in goldenrod. Underneath is a lavender bar with "P R O D U C T I O N S" also in goldenrod.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A glistening synth composed by Bruce Babcock. Sometimes, the ending theme plays, or none.

Availability:

  • Seen on the Moment of Truth and Crimes of Passion movie series which was last seen on Lifetime and LMN.
  • It was also seen on the TV movies Men Who Hate Women & the Women Who Love Them, Heart of a Child, Twilight Zone: Rod Sterling's Lost Classics, A Child's Wish, I Know What You Did, One Hot Summer Night, Nobody Lives Forever, as well as on the miniseries Murder in the Heartland, all of which haven't aired for years on television.
  • In most cases, it can be followed by a Libra Pictures or New World International logo.
